Aboud is wrongfully arrested on charges of killing Abu Khaled when the people of the neighborhood turn him in. It turns out that Abu Shukry (Shukry's father) has been stealing the weapons of the French army to give them to the revolutionaries.
When he is released, Aboud vows revenge on the people of the neighborhood and starts to bicker with them. Abu Shukry grows upset with his irresponsible son.
Yassin is upset when Aboud returns to the neighborhood, only for trouble to follow. Umm Noury (Noury's mother) wants to wed Fares to Umm Younes's (Younes's mother) daughter.
When Aboud files a complaint against Abu Shukry, Yassin intervenes to calm Aboud down.
As Yassin decides to marry Fatema, his mother disapproves. Proxy Talhat vows revenge on Abu Shukry. Yassin is arrested and tortured.
Yassin is released. Proxy Talhat asks Abu Selim (Selim's father) to kill Abu Shukry. Umm Shukry asks Malak to get back with Umm Shukry's son.
Abu Shukry warns Aboud when he destroys and pillages the stores of the people in the neighborhood. Shoukry is jealous of Noury because Abu Shukry chiefly depends on him.
When Abu Salim kills Abu Shukry, Aboud is wrongfully accused of murdering him, but he manages to flee.
Malak accepts to get back with Shoukry. Aboud wants to clear his name and prove his innocence.
The people of the neighborhood choose Noury as their new leader, but an envious Shoukry quarrels with Noury.
Aboud captures soldiers of the French army. Umm Adel (Adel's mother) reprimands Fatema for talking to Yassin. Ya'coub helps Aboud.
Ya'coub starts working with Master Noury and communicates Aboud's news to him. Shoukry tries to tarnish Noury's reputation in the neighborhood, but he utterly fails.
Shoukry continues to start fights at the neighborhood, and things take a frightening turn when he tries to kill Yassin. Aboud threatens Shoukry. Fatema refuses to wed Younis because she loves Yassin.
Abu Salim marries Yasmin. Noury delivers weapons to the revolutionaries. As the police shoot Aboud down, they believe he died, but it turns out he is still alive.
Following Aboud's injury, Abu Diab looks after him. Ya'coub is shocked to learn that Aboud died.
Abu Botros learns that Aboud is the one who sent the weapons to Noury, who, in turn, sent them to the revolutionaries. Aboud recuperates, and Ya'coub is relieved to learn that Aboud is still alive.
When Noury learns that Aboud is still alive, he decides to kill him to avenge Abu Shukry. Noury is convinced to build a school to teach the children of the neighborhood.
When the police arrest Aboud, Abu Diab manages to get him out. Umm Noury wants her son Fares to marry Mariam. When Abu Fahmy's (Fahmy's father) store is burned down, Aboud becomes a prime suspect.
Yassin starts teaching the children. As Fares gets ready to wed Mariam, he starts inviting the people of the neighborhood to their wedding.
Fares kicks Mohamed out when the latter steals the money from the bakery. When Noury's bakery is torched, he suspects Aboud.
Fares and Mariam get married. Shoukry harshly treats his wife. Noury gives up his position as the leader.
When Yassin's school is burned down, it is revealed that Shoukry is the one behind all those fires.
Proxy Talhat arrests Al-Mokhtar Abu Galal when he refuses to divulge to him the place of the revolutionaries. Yassin runs away when he sees Noury with his sister Fatema.
Umm Yassin (Yassin's mother) asks Noury to forgive her son. When a French soldier tries to rape Shams, Aboud intervenes and murders him.
Abu Botros helps Yassin. Adel refuses to wed Fatema when he learns she loves Yassin. Sameh forgives his sister Fatema.
Noury reprimands Fares for visiting Fatema. Shoukry confesses to Noury that he is the one behind all the fires and begs for his forgiveness.
Zakour decides to kill Noury. Aboud proposes to Abu Diab's daughter. Younis is murdered.
Younis's family mourns his death, and Noury vows revenge. Shoukry begs for Umm Adel's forgiveness.
Proxy Talhat asks Abu Salim to kill Noury. Aboud tries to contact Noury.
Noury forgives his sister Fatema. Yasmin tells Noury that Abu Shoukry has been murdered.
Shoukry exacts revenge on Abu Salim. Proxy Talhat is murdered. Noury denies all charges against him.
Noury forgives Yassin and accepts to wed him Fatema. Aboud returns to the neighborhood with his head held high. The people of the neighborhood work together to combat the French army.
