Zohoor suffers from her husband Mahmoud’s tyranny, his beating of her all the time, his lack of closeness to his children, and his neglect of them.
Zohoor asks her mother to help her financially, but she refuses. Bilal resents his father Mahmoud’s oppression of him, and quarrels continue between Mahmoud and Zohoor.
Mahmoud rents out the identities of his wife and children to a broker for money. Zohoor asks her mother to give her her share in her father’s estate. Mahmoud leaves the house after a violent quarrel with Zohoor, and her children sympathize with her and beat their father.
Zohoor discovers Mahmoud's traveling, the sale of all his property, and his divorcing her, leaving her with her children without any support. A quarrel breaks out between Zohoor's children and their new neighbor, Attia.
Zohoor's debts are increasing, so she asks city officials to help her, and her neighbor Attia tries to help them financially.
Zohoor asks her sister Hajar's husband to help her, as well as her mother, but everyone disavows her. Zohoor refuses that her children leave school and look for work.
Hajar asks her husband to help Zohoor find a job at a government agency, and Attia is upset that his wife, Kaltham, treats her children poorly.
Zohoor is forced to work as a maid and wear the niqab so that no one will recognize her. Attia promises Bilal a job in his company.
Zohoor's daughter, Hasina, works in cooking and selling food to neighboring houses, and Umm Abdullah (Abdullah's mother) hesitates to complete her son's engagement to Hasina.
Zohoor's daughter Hessa decides to work as a teacher to help her mother. Zohoor asks Umm Abdullah to lend her some money to pay the late rent for the house. Abdullah and Hasina's engagement party takes place.
Abdullah tells Zohoor that he knows where her husband is, and Hessa refuses to marry Attia's brother, Abdul Hamid.
Attia's wife discovers that he has secretly married an Indian woman. Abdullah and Hasina sign their marriage contract. Zohoor buys a car to work on it by transporting students to school.
Attia's Indian wife travels and leaves her children with him, so Zohoor offers to take care of them until she returns. Hasina and Abdullah prepare for their wedding.
Joey steals Attia's company's goods and escapes. The latter tells his children that their financial condition will be affected because of this, while Hajar refuses to attend Hasina's wedding because it is being held in the street.
Hasina and Abdullah's wedding takes place, and Attia's wife quarrels with Hessa because she believes that Zohoor and Attia are in a relationship.
Attia discovers his wife's quarrel with Zohoor and her prevention of Bilal from going to his job, and offers his brother Tariq to be his partner in a new project.
Attia goes to prison for failing to pay his debts. Umm Abdullah thinks about working with magic and quackery. Jassim's son meets Bilal and offers him help and work.
Umm Jassim refuses to sell the house; Hasina asks Abdullah not to quit work; Zohoor tries to help Attia pay his debts despite her financial difficulty.
As Jassim decides to use the power of attorney to sell the house, he refuses to give Zohoor her share in the house. Attia is released from prison after Hassan helps him.
Attia tells Hassan that he is opening a store that sells household products. Hassan suggests that Zohoor invest her money in the stock market.
Hasina is upset with Abdullah's decision to travel abroad to complete his studies and leave her. Umm Abdullah decides to invest in real estate and presents the matter to Zohoor.
The Indian worker steals from Attia's shop, causing the latter to lose his money. Maryam believes that Zohoor is getting closer to her father, Attia, in the absence of her mother.
Abdullah cheats on Hasina; Zohoor refuses to marry her daughter to Tariq; Umm Abdullah tells Zohoor of her desire to marry Attia.
Umm Abdullah marries Attia, and Hasina is forced to teach children to increase her income.
As Zohoor agrees to have Abdullah stay with Hasina in her house, she is surprised by Mahmoud’s return. Umm Abdullah quarrels with Attia’s first wife. Jassim refuses to give his mother money to buy a house.
Mahmoud demands that his children travel with him, and his daughter Hessa agrees, while Zohoor decides to file a lawsuit against him for custody of her children.
Tariq decides to get married and travel, and Hessa is shocked when her father leaves her and does not take her with him. Attia proposes to Umm Abdullah to be his partner in his new project. Umm Jassim buys the house and hands over its ownership to Zohoor.
Hajar is upset that Zohoor owns the house. Umm Nawaf refuses to let Attia's children live with her in the house. Zohoor's son is thinking about marrying Attia's daughter.
Attia asks Bilal to ask Umm Abdullah to return home. Hajar offers to buy Zohoor's shop after she lost all her money. Attia suggests to his daughters to rent out the house annex to pay off his debts.
Zohoor marries Hassan, while Attia's daughter agrees to marry Bilal, and Hessa also agrees to marry her cousin.
