Gaber El Khawaja is a young man living in Alexandria who loves boxing. As he expresses his love for his fiancée Laila, Gaber finds his sister Souad and her husband have rented their apartment and they come to stay with him and his mother and sister Marwa, much to her annoyance.

Gaber, Hamouda and their third friend find the security forces trying to demolish their homes on the pretext that they are at risk of collapse, but they succeed in convincing the governor to postpone the matter. The owner of the arboretum that Gaber rents refuses to rent it back to him.

Officer Riad asks Gaber to plant some cameras and audio recorders in the villa of a drug dealer in order to catch him in the act, but he refuses. Gaber rents a fancy car and takes Laila to an abandoned villa in Agami, where he asks her to marry her in secret, so she rebukes him for that.

When Gaber tries to return someone's money from a dealer who has defrauded him, the police, led by Officer Riad, arrest him and treat him as a suspect; Gaber restates his refusal to work for him as an informer regardless of the consequences.

As Hamouda's house collapses, he is arrested for assaulting a member of parliament. Laila asks her employer, Engy, to help her find a job for Gaber. Khaled goes to Hamouda's area with a car full of blankets and clothes to increase his chances of winning the upcoming elections.

Riad rebukes Gaber and threatens him for what he's previously done to him. As Fakhri discusses with his son Khaled their business, Engy asks her father to find a job for Gaber. Laila tells Gaber about a security guard job at a large hotel, but he turns it down.

Gaber advises Nagi to return to his father's house after he expelled him. Laila asks Engy to find a job for Safaa. As Safaa goes to Fakhri, who offers her a job at his company's branch in Kuwait, Safaa and her mother ask him to let them think about it.

After Gaber gets beaten by the guards of a prince while working at a hotel as a security guard, everyone there testifies against him. Safaa is forced to marry Fakhri in secret, after facing pressure from her mother. Engy threatens Laila for what she did, after she sobers up from the hallucinogenic pills.

Laila asks Gaber for a divorce after he lost his job at the hotel. After Gaber learns from Hamouda that they did not get an apartment as promised by the authorities, he gathers people whose houses collapsed and goes in front of the Alexandria governorate headquarters.

Fakhri manages to convince Gaber to work with him for a large sum of money, and Laila warns him against working with him. Hamouda gathers some of his friends and robs an abandoned villa. As Fakhri explains to Gaber the nature of the work, he gives him a bag and orders him to deliver it to someone.

As Fakhri admires Gaber's effort at work, Gaber sees him with Safaa; Gaber reassures him of keeping his secret, so Fakhri gives him a sum of money as a reward, which Gaber gives to Safaa's mother.

As Fakhri goes to the bank with 2 million dollars accompanied by Gaber, they get into a car accident. After Gaber saves Fakhri, he takes 50 thousand dollars and escapes, while Fakhri is arrested by the Public Funds Police who were tailing him.

During his wedding to Laila, Gaber finds the police arresting him. Khaled learns from the man who was protecting his father that someone has informed on his father. Safaa tells Khaled that she's officially married to his father and that she owns his apartment.

Laila tells Gaber that she's pregnant. Based on a report by someone accusing Gaber and Laila that they are drug and currency dealers, the police search his mobile shop and find drugs; they take them to the police station.

As Nagi dies while trying to get his money back from someone, Gaber blames himself when he finds out. Girgis informs Gaber that Laila gave birth. As Gaber goes to see his son and wife Laila, he tells her that he's innocent. He makes someone report his departure by sea to a foreign country.

Gaber works in a tourist resort. Hamouda and his accomplices are arrested for robbing a villa. As Hisham El Silhdar attempts to flee the country on his yacht before getting arrested, Gaber attacks him and restrains him and his men.

As Gaber and his friend Salem immigrate to Rome illegally, they meet Abdo, who guides them to a contractor to work with him. As Azmi promises that Khaled will achieve his ambition with him, he shows him a recording of him inciting someone to plant drugs inside Gaber's mobile store as a warning for him.

Gaber agrees to help the authorities arrest mafia men by pretending to be a dangerous criminal in order to be transferred to the high-security prison and plots an escape plan with the son of the mafia boss to gain their trust. Gaber meets the mafia boss Don Marco and his younger brother Daniel.

Daniel denounces the decision of his older brother Nicola to let Gaber stay with them and consider him a member of the family. Gaber learns of their intention to kill the Italian Minister of the Interior. Azmi asks Khaled to expedite the construction of the villas on the desert land that he bought.

Gaber assumes the identity of a deceased Egyptian named Kamal El Sherbiny, with the help of Antonio. Gaber receives a million-dollar reward from the Minister of the Interior after saving his life, which he uses to start a business in Milan. His friend Salem is released from prison.

Safaa's mother disowns her daughter after learning of her marriage to Fakhri. Meanwhile, after the police saves Maria from someone who's trying to kill her, she then goes to Gaber, who hosts her in his house.

Gaber marries Maria. Daniel shows Gaber's pictures to their men after a professional disguise expert prepared them for him. Souad drops the report she filed against Laila and her colleague after they yielded the management of the hair salon to her. Adila won't let Gaber's family see his son.

After Gaber learns from his nephew that his sister Souad is going through financial difficulties, he asks Salem to return to Egypt and open a branch of the company there, which he will manage.

As Salem goes to Gaber's family home in Egypt and asks Souad to work with him, he photographs them all and sends their photo to Gaber, who orders Abdo to collect information about Hisham El Silhdar. Salem throws Nagi, Gaber's son, a birthday party and sends Gaber the video; Maria finds out.

Gaber succeeds in trapping Hisham and handing him over to the Egyptian authorities. Souad gives some money to her mother, who is taken to the hospital and the doctor tells them that she needs an operation. Khaled adds his sister Engy to the contract of the land, which Salem owns half of.

As Daniel is arrested for the murder of a Spaniard, he is soon released after killing the only witness in the case. Salem returns to Italy. As Khaled plans to hire his friend Sherif in the cement factory, he wants to open a newspaper and a TV channel in order to attack their enemies.

As Khaled holds a party on the occasion of his purchase of his fifth cement factory, he asks his wife to mediate for him with her father to help him become a minister. Azmi rebukes him for not sending his share of Khaled's annual profits, and warns him not to delay sending the money.

As Gaber returns to Egypt, Salem helps him distract Laila, Marwa and Souad in order for him to see his mother in the hospital before she dies. Gaber tells Salem that he wants to see Laila and hold his son.

As Laila is shocked when she meets Gaber and finds out that he is still alive, she refuses to let him see his son Nagi. Gaber meets Khaled at a party, and manages to make Engy persuade him to be his partner in the cement factory in Italy. After Gaber returns to Italy, Salem asks Marwa to work there.

After killing Daniel, Gaber returns to Egypt, where his son Nagi welcomes him. When Engy learns of Gaber's return, she threatens him, but Suzy kills her. After Gaber is imprisoned, his innocence is proven. Gaber buys a large land for his children and gets back with his wife Laila.
