Hassan meets his friends Farouk and Rana and takes them with him in his car to college. He is the son of a rich politician and has a sister named Tabarak. Hassan tells his friends that he likes a new girl named Nadine and is trying to get close to her.

Farouk wants to end his relationship with Rita because he has a crush on a classmate of his in college. As for Hassan, his relationship with Nadine is developing while Ayyam, his cousin, loves him, and Tabarak blames her because she does not reveal her love to him.

Hassan admires Laila and tries to get close to her, and their relationship strengthens. Meanwhile, Rita feels sad about Farouk's distance from her and seeks to restore her relationship with him again. As for Tabarak, she advises Ayyam to tell Hassan her true feelings towards him.

Laila tells Hassan that she does not want to have any relationship with him outside the framework of the fellowship, while Ayyam tries to get closer to him. Rita quarrels with Farouk and then begs him not to leave her.

Hassan meets Dr. Somaya, and they talk about her life, and she gives him some important advice. While the relationship between Soraya and Farouk is strengthened, Hassan and his friends believe that Farouk is exploiting Soraya.

Rita goes to college to search for Farouk, but Haider tries to mislead her. Hassan refuses to marry his cousin Ayyam, despite her love for him, but his parents insist on him marrying her.

Rita asks Farouk to divorce her because he is unable to love her. Hassan tells Wathiq that he does not want to marry Ayyam.

Ayyam refuses to marry Wathiq and is happy that her uncle also rejected his request. As for Laila, she confesses her love to Hassan, but she does not want to continue her relationship with him because of her fear of the end, as she tells her father about him.

Hassan slaps his college classmate after Laila sees her touching his face with her hand. Rita doubts Farouk’s relationship with Soraya.

Laila reconciles with Hassan after she understands the misunderstanding that occurred. Hassan tells his sister that he is in love with a classmate of his in college and cannot marry Ayyam.

Laila's father remembers his previous relationship with Jaafar and tells his daughter that he is a stubborn man, while her relationship with Hassan grows stronger every day. Soraya confesses her love for Farouk to him, not knowing that he is married to Rita.

Farouk surprises his friends about his marriage to Rita, causing Hassan to get angry at him. Elsewhere, Ayyam feels very sad because Hassan does not care about her.

Laila tells Hassan that her father knows his father, that their relationship is not good, and that they had a disagreement in the past. As for Wathiq, he asks his father to help him marry Ayyam.

Hassan meets Laila's father and tells him that he wants to marry his daughter, while his family is insisting on marrying him to Ayyam.

Ayyam discovers Hassan's relationship with Laila, and she falls into a bad psychological state. He also confronts her, saying that he does not love her. Laila feels afraid that Jaafar will not accept his son's marriage to her.

Hassan quarrels with his father because he has refused to marry Ayyam. Later, he proposes to Laila alone, and her father accepts him.

Jaafar rejects Hassan's marriage to Laila and tells his son that there is revenge between him and Qadir. Tony quarrels with Haider and considers him a traitor to the friendship, while Hassan tries to reconcile them.

Hassan leaves home after his father's rejection of his marriage to Laila and goes to live with Farouk.

Hassan marries Laila with her father's approval, amid the joy of his friends, who hold a celebration for them.

Hassan succeeds in college, prepares his apartment, and forms a partnership with his friends in a cafeteria. Hassan tries to reconcile with his father and invites him to come with him to his wedding.

Hassan marries Laila amidst the sadness of his family, who did not attend the wedding. An explosion occurs in central Baghdad. Laila's father, Qadir, is injured and taken to the hospital.

Hassan works as a trainee lawyer in a law firm in addition to his work in the cafeteria so that he can provide all the household supplies. However, when his parents learn about his work in the cafeteria, they become angry with him.

Jaafar fights with Hassan because of his work in the cafeteria, while Laila invites Tabarak and Ayyam to lunch. Hayat also sends a gift with Tabarak to her son.

The relationship between Laila, Tabarak, and Ayyam grows stronger, and Hassan accepts his mother's expensive gift. Laila suffers from a sudden headache and is taken to the hospital after losing consciousness.

Laila conducts the tests, and Rita supervises her treatment. As Rita is afraid of the results of the tests, she asks her to repeat them so that her disease can be re-diagnosed.

Hassan experiences a terrible psychological shock when the doctor informs him that Laila has cancer, and everyone is upset by Laila's situation.

Laila does not know the truth about her illness, but she notices Hassan's sadness. The doctor also asks her for more tests. The friends decide to sell the cafeteria to cover Laila's treatment expenses after Jaafar refuses to help his son.

The doctor asks Hassan to keep Laila in the hospital so he can treat her. Hassan is trying to get enough money to cover the hospital expenses.

Laila enters the hospital after all her friends come together to cover the treatment expenses. Meanwhile, Jaafar refuses to help his son, despite the urging of his wife and daughter.

Laila's condition worsens, but Hassan remains by her side. Wathiq goes to him and asks him to talk Tabarak into marrying him in exchange for getting his father to give him money to treat Laila.

The doctor decides to transplant Laila with marrow. Wathiq tries to get closer to Jaafar so that he will marry him to his daughter.

Jaafar refuses to give his son money to treat Laila outside Iraq, despite his pleas and his knowledge that the girl is on the verge of death. Their inability to gather the required amount saddens her friends as well.

Hassan begs his father to give him money because he is in a race against time, but he refuses. As for Ayyam, she decides to sell her share in the house that she inherited from her father to help Hassan.

Jaafar finally agrees to provide money for Laila to travel for treatment, while Laila goes home and dies in her bed.
