After his sons tell him that their younger brother, Mar'ey, was taken by 'the enchanted', Mohammed Abu Diab ceaselessly searches for his son only to find his corpse afloat.

Mohammed Abu Diab punishes his cousin, Abu Zekry, for having a hand in blowing up the mines at the mountain. Mohammed's daughter passes away in childbirth, but she gives birth to a baby girl, Takwa.

Mohammed hires Farha as a wet nurse to Takwa. Meanwhile, he learns that his son has been stealing his money; he gets infuriated and slaps him.

In clear opposition to his father's desires, Khair refuses to work at the mines. Menadaha accuses Farha of stealing a necklace, but Mohammed absolves her. Farha leaves the family.

After a two-day absence, Hammad returns home and tells his father he was locked up by a lady who intended to ask for a ransom. Badra sees Mohammed and tells him that contrary to what is believed, his brother is still alive.

Farha's ex-husband renews his wish to be reunited with her, but Mohammed tells him that she doesn't love him anymore. With El-Hadaby's help, Mohammed manages to get back his stolen loader.

After the government suspends work at the quarry to build the new road, Mohammed hires a lawyer and files a lawsuit supported by the legal arguments that affirm his ownership of the quarry.

Khairy encroaches on the quarry while it is at the disposal of the government which angers Mohammed. However, in order to save his own son, Mohammed incriminates Mannaa', the sentry.

Mohammed's brother, Ahmad, who has been absent for 10 years, returns and tells his brother that he married another and he has a son. Mohammed tells his brother not to tell Badra lest she will take revenge on him.

Mohammed is thrilled that the work at his quarry resumes. Bassem, Ahmad's son, gets lost, and ironically enough, Zahra, his half-sister, finds him.

Tawheed, Ahmad's sister, sees Bassem and Zahra together and she informs Ahmad. Badra, on the other hand, reproaches her husband for abstaining from claiming his right to his father's inheritance.

Things only go downhill when Khairy refuses to work at the quarry and entrusts his younger brother, Hammad, with this job.

Mohammed takes Farha and his grandchildren to stroll around the city of Sohag. Afterwards, he informs his sons that he will give his brother his share in the legacy; Khairy is boundlessly infuriated.

Menadaha and Kamla plot against Farha and they throw her down the stairs. Mohammed visits Farha to check up on her and he proposes to her. Abu Zekry decides to tell Badra about Ahmad's son.

Badra is up in arms about Ahmad's son; she decides to kill him, but she mistakenly shoots Tawheed. Ahmad asks El-Hadaby to find the murderer to take revenge.

El-Hadaby's investigations reveal that the murderer is no one but Badra who plots once more to murder her husband. Ahmad is rescued and he decides to take revenge on Badra.

Kamel uncovers the whole truth about Marey's death to his father; it wasn't Badra who murdered him, his own brothers drowned him in the conduit.

Mohammed's daughter tells her father that her husband had another wife. Mohammed is overwhelmed by Kamel's account of how Marey was murdered. He confronts his sons and threatens to disinherit them if they don't confess.

Mohammed taunts and slaps Nawara's husband, but all his efforts are thwarted as Nawara decides to return to her unappreciative husband anyway.

Abu Zekry plots to expose Mohammed and Farha's relationship, but his plot blows up in his face as Mohammed announces that Farha is his wife.

After she learns about Mohammed's marriage, Lameia, Kamel's mother, passes away. Mohammed slaps Farha as she goes to her mother without his permission.

Khairy hires a group of thugs who take over the quarry and prevent Mohammed from entering. Mohammed decides to use El-Hadaby's help to teach his son an unforgettable lesson.

Mohammed visits his ex-wife, Kamal's mother, who dies immediately after telling him how much she loves him. Badra gets mad after she learns that Ahmad is still alive.

Zahra tells her uncle that her mother is alive and she intends to take revenge on Ahmad and his son Bassem.

Mohammed informs his brother that Badra is back and she plans on taking revenge against him. Badra kidnaps Mahran, Mohammed's son.

Abu Zekry meets Badra and entices her to murder Mahran. He also gives her a pill, and Mahran warns her that this pill is different from the others, but she is so full of herself that she takes it anyway.

Mohammed encourages his brother to run for the elections of the People's Assembly, which infuriates his daughter's father-in-law who is also running for the same position.

Mohammed is hospitalized after being shot, and he entrusts his son Khairy with managing the quarry and the mountain's other matters.

Mohammed plans to discredit his brother's rival by planting a camera in his villa and photographing him with women.

Kamel learns that his aunt's husband passed away. Khairy returns after successfully carrying out the task he was assigned.

Mohammed gathers his sons and distributes his legacy between them. Abu Zekry proposes to Zahra which extremely enrages her father.

Mannaa', the sentry, is hit by a car and as an act of repentance, he decides to come clean about Marey's murder. Mohammed decides to inflict on his sons what they inflicted on Marey, but his heart softens. Farha gives birth to a baby boy, and they call him Marey.
