Al Qassas seeks to buy one of Fetiha’s tanneries, and the latter aspires to obtain the title of bey after leaving the tannery area. He asks Viola to help him, while Rabie asks to work with Al Qassas.
Fetiha agrees to sell his tannery in order to save the money needed to buy the bey title. Al Dahshan tries to use devious methods to force Al Qassas to be his follower.
Viola offers to help Fetiha financially in exchange for his marrying her. Marzouk tries to get close to Fetiha's daughter, Zizi, after falling in love with her. Al Qassas discovers that his wife, Nagiba, has saved a lot of money, which enables him to buy Fetiha's tanneries.
Al Qassas celebrates among the people his purchase of the tanneries, and suspects his wife of stealing Zakia’s gold before her death. Fattouh resents the greed of his fiancée, Laila, and rejects to rely on his father’s money at the beginning of his life.
Saad quarrels with his sister Baraa and rejects her working as a singer in the cafe. Fetiha thinks about making Viola guardian of his daughter Zizi. As the police investigate the robbery and assault on Rabie by an unknown, they arrest Marzouk.
Marzouk is released from prison after revealing Kamal's whereabouts. Fetiha's office is burned down, while Attia steals Rabie's money. Zizi is shocked when she learns of her father's marriage to Viola.
Fattouh discovers that Laila is not as rich as she claims. As Viola tries to get closer to Zizi and gain her trust, the latter asks her to mediate for Kamal’s release. Abdul Rahim proposes marriage to Fatima, the daughter of Al Qassas, but the latter refuses.
Rabie is imprisoned for helping to break out Kamal. Al Qassas insists on his daughter Fatima marrying Abdul Rahim. Laila tries to tell Fattouh the truth about herself. Fetiha’s marriage to Viola prevents him from obtaining the title of bey.
Rasheed discovers that Laila is a poor girl who lives in the tannery area. Zizi falls for Kamal. Rabie is released from jail and is saddened by Fatima’s engagement. Saniya tries to get closer to Al Qassas because she is taken by him.
Saniya asks Makhali to find out the true source of Al Qassas and Nagiba's money. Fattouh confronts Laila about her poverty and her deception of him. Al Qassas decides to sell the tanneries at public auction.
Al Qassas asks Baraa to participate in the auction so that the price of the tanneries rises. Nagiba pleads with Saniya to help her prevent Al Qassas from selling, but Saniya surprises everyone and buys the tanneries.
Al Qassas decides to donate the money from selling the tanneries to build a hospital and an orphanage. Abdul Rahim suspects that Al Qassas will run for the elections. Nagiba falsely tells Saniya that Al Qassas stole Zakia's gold. Fattouh takes Laila to the hospital after she falls ill.
Fetiha asks Saniya to help him financially after his loss in the stock market. The police arrest Al Qassas on charges of killing Zakia, but his innocence is proven through the testimony of witnesses in his favor. Al Qassas divorces his wife, while Viola gives birth to her first child with Fetiha.
Saniya agrees to let Viola and her child stay in the villa. Al Qassas marries Baraa. Zizi tells Kamal that she loves him.
Kamal scolds Fetiha for not being close to his daughter Zizi until she fell in love with Kamal despite the age difference between them. Laila's health condition deteriorates. An enraged Saad kidnaps Baraa for marrying Al Qassas.
Saniya tries to convince Zizi to marry Kamal to get back at Fetiha. Samir proposes to Al Qassas to work with him to develop the tanneries. Saniya suspects Nagiba of stealing the tanneries' revenues.
Al Qassas agrees to his daughter Aida's marriage to the pilot Saif, while he prevents Nagiba from attending the wedding. Fetiha’s financial condition deteriorates. Saniya hires the lawyer Ali to manage the tanneries and her business.
Saad asks Al Qassas to help him reach Saif's father in order to exploit his position. Zizi confronts Kamal about abandoning her. Saniya is shocked by Nagiba's stealing from the tanneries, so Ali asks Al Qassas to intervene to resolve the conflict.
Al Qassas stipulates that Nagiba must leave the Magra El Oyoun Aqueduct in order for him to pardon her. Fattouh marries Laila, while Abdul Rahim divorces his wife and believes that Nagiba burned his boat. Fetiha returns to manage the tanneries.
