Ajaj anxiously awaits his wife Latfia to give birth. He is shocked when she gives birth to a sixth daughter after five daughters. He leaves the house and complains to his friend Abu Rasmi about the situation.

Umm Ajaj blames her son for not accepting what God has given him. Ajaj apologizes to his wife Latfia and welcomes the arrival of his infant daughter and names her Sherihan, but his friend Ibrahim tries to persuade him to marry again to have a boy.

Ibrahim proposes to Ajaj to marry a woman who has previously given birth to male children in order to ensure that she will give birth to male children. He tells his wife Latfia about the matter, which saddens her, but she decides to propose to their neighbor, Hala, for him.

Latfia's brother, Abu Hadi, quarrels with Ajaj to divorce her, and Hala stipulates that Latfia must agree to the matter in front of her in order to marry Ajaj.

Ajaj and Hala's wedding takes place, and the latter insists that Ajaj stay at his first wife Latfia's house on the wedding night so that she will not be sad.

Hala and Latfia are pregnant at the same time. Ajaj discovers that Ibrahim has deceived him in the business trade. Hala gives birth to a daughter, and Latfia gives birth to twin boys.

Ajaj forgives Ibrahim and returns to work with him. He asks Hala to stay at Latfia’s house. Quarrels begin between the two wives, and Ajaj becomes crazy because of them.
