Aisha is always dominating her husband Abu Khaled (Khaled's father) and pushing him not to obey his mother. After he moves to another house and leaves his mother and sister, his mother falls ill and dies without him visiting her at the instigation of his wife Aisha.
Years pass and Khaled grows up, and his mother Aisha continues to control him, even in her illness, while Homoud tries to get close to him, along with Abu Ibrahim, to achieve a personal interest.
Umm Ahmed reproaches Aisha for not getting her son Khaled married until he reached the age of forty, and accuses her of being the reason behind this for fear of his marrying a woman who would do to her what she did to Khaled's grandmother before.
Tariq falls for Layla. Homoud borrows money from Khaled, claiming that his wife's ill, but Khaled discovers his deception when he visits him at his home.
As Homoud convinces Khaled to get married, Abu Ibrahim agrees to marry off his daughter Layla to Khaled, despite the age gap between them, because he's rich.
Salwa insists on Layla's marrying Khaled, who tells his mother that he wants to get married after all these years.
As Khaled continues to try to persuade his mother, Aisha, to agree to his marriage, he asks Abu Ibrahim to wait for Aisha's approval to finalize his marriage to Layla.
Aisha agrees to her son's marriage, whereupon Khaled showers Layla with gifts so that she agrees to marry him despite the great age gap between them.
Layla agrees to marry Khaled because of his wealth and to escape the abuse of her stepmother, Salwa, and the poverty of her family. She also agrees to live with his mother, Aisha, in the same house.
Layla starts devising a plan to come between Khaled and his mother, Aisha, and she asks him to set up a project in her name.
As Layla controls Khaled, he agrees with what she says and how she speaks of his mother. Homoud and his son establish a new company with Khaled.
Layla plots with Hayla to take revenge on Umm Ahmed and Aisha at the same time and upend their lives. Layla complains to Khaled about his mother's interference in her life.
Layla tells Hayla of her agreement with Homoud to deposit a monthly sum into her account without Khaled's knowledge. When Aisha finds out about the company that Khaled set up for Layla, she falls ill and is taken to the hospital.
Layla quarrels with Aisha and decides to kick her out of the house. Homoud warns Layla of Khaled's finding out about their embezzlement from the company.
Layla informs Khaled of her pregnancy and stipulates that Aisha apologizes to her in order to let her return to the house.
The doctor informs Layla of her false pregnancy, and that she suffers from sterility, which will make her unable to have children, so she decides not to tell Khaled about it.
Layla agrees with Salwa to falsely claim that Aisha tried to kill her and get rid of her in order to drive a wedge between Khaled and his mother.
Homoud is shocked to learn that his son Farhan stole the company's profits. Homoud suggests that Khaled put his mother in a nursing home.
After Khaled takes his mother to the nursing home under the pretense of having her do some medical tests, he leaves her there. Aisha tries to reach him, but Layla stops him. Salwa blackmails Layla into letting her stay with her in the villa, or else she will reveal that she's not pregnant.
Homoud and his son try to escape from Khaled. As Umm Ahmed continues to search for Aisha in every hospital, Khaled's uncle finds her. Khaled discovers Layla's lies and deceit, after which his mother disowns him.
