The new director, Rushdi, takes over the administration of the department and decides to uncover all corruption in it. He asks the employee Adel to help him. Adel, meanwhile, tries to find another job so that he can marry his fiancée, Nahid.

The Public Funds Prosecution investigates Adel, but he does not cooperate with them. Adel meets his old friend Hussein and offers to work with him, while Hosni informs Bassiouni of Rushdi's threat to them, and that he has papers that incriminate them.

Rushdi asks Adel to hand over the papers to Bassiouni, and the latter refuses to receive them. Adel is surprised by the news of Rushdi's death and that he has been accused of his murder, and asks Bassiouni to acquit him.

Bassiouni pressures Adel to hand over the papers and threatens him with death, but Adel manages to escape from him and goes to report him to the police. The police arrest Adel and he manages to escape again while he is transferred.

Saber offers to Adel to stay in his place until he proves his innocence. Adel disguises himself as a salesman to meet Nahid and his mother and inform them of his innocence. Bassiouni asks Hosni to quickly catch Adel to get the secret papers.

Adel disguises himself and goes to Bassiouni, but his men beat him and lock him up. He succeeds to escape, while Hosni tells the gang leader, Kazem, about it. Hussein asks Nahid to convince Adel to hand himself over to the police.

The inn's owner discovers the truth of Adel and hands him over to Bassiouni's gang, where he bargains with him to give him the secret papers in exchange for a sum of money and his escape outside Egypt. Soliman agrees with Saber to entrap the gang and rid Adel of them.

Soliman and Saber help Adel get rid of the gang members who were sent by Bassiouni to kill Adel. As Hussein tries to get close to Nahid in the absence of Adel, he then reveals his identity that he himself is Kazem, the leader of the gang.

Bassiouni accuses Kazem of agreeing with Adel to blackmail him, while Kazem tries to persuade Adel to hand him over the papers, but he is surprised that Adel knows the importance of these papers and refuses to do so.

Bassiouni's men break into Adel's mother's house to find the papers, but they fail, and Kazem quarrels with Bassiouni for that. Saber helps Adel to visit his mother in the hospital. Adel disguises himself as a doctor, but the police officer reveals him, so he escapes.

Soliman suspects Kazem, and Adel asks Saber to gather information about Shawky. Kazem is surprised by Bassiouni's men breaking into his house, so he asks Shawky to get rid of Bassiouni. Adel disguises himself as a police officer and visits his mother in the hospital, but she dies.

Adel disguises himself and decides to search for Shawky. He meets Bassiouni and threatens to kill him to help him find Shawky. Kazem is worried that Adel may reach him.

Adel is shocked when he discovers that Soliman and Saber are two policemen, and that they disguised themselves as thieves to ambush the gang. He also discovers that Kazem is the gang leader and kills him.
