Safiya, the daughter of El Zafaranji, runs away with her lover, Shaalan, the son of El Jorbaji El Darani. Conflict erupts in the country, and the men of El Zafaranji attack the castle where Shaalan and Safiya are hiding. As El Darani asks his son, Shaalan, to return Safiya to her family, he refuses.

As El Jorbaji El Darani asks Shaalan to allow him to enter the castle, he asks Shaalan to end the raging war and return Safiya to her family, telling him that Mousa Agha wants to avenge his son, Fawaz, especially since Safiya is considered his wife.

El Zafaranji's men storm the castle, capture Shaalan, and search for Safiya everywhere without finding her. El Zafaranji asks El Jorbaji El Darani to order his son, Shaalan, to tell him where Safiya is and he will forgive him, but Shaalan refuses to tell anyone where his sweetheart is.

El Zafaranji allows Shaalan's mother to visit her son to check on him. Shaalan disguises himself, wearing his mother's clothes, and escapes from the castle. El Zafaranji's men tell him about the escape of Shaalan, who looks for his sweetheart, Safiya.

El Jorbaji El Darani agrees with Mousa Agha and El Zafaranji Agha on a truce so that matters would be settled inside the country, in addition to searching for Shaalan and Safiya everywhere in the Levant.

Shaalan hides with the mountain man Uqab, whom he tells his story. Safiya asks Azmek to search for Shaalan everywhere until he finds him after she learns that he escaped from the castle.

Mousa Agha asks El Jorbaji El Darani to get El Zafaranji back on his side, and tells him that he needs him in order to regain control of the country after the outbreak of the last war between them.

El Jorbaji El Darani gathers his men and orders them to search everywhere for his son, Shaalan, after learning of what El Zafaranji Agha intends to do to him.

Safiya learns from Azmek that the men of her father, El Zafaranji, are looking for her and Shaalan everywhere, whereupon she asks Azmek to be careful in dealing with people and not to mention anything about her so that no one becomes suspicious.

El Mawardi and his father, Abu Eid, tell El Jorbaji El Darani, that his son, Fayyad, has been taken captive by his brother, Shaalan, in the mountains, after which El Mawardi tries to reach Fayyad and convey his father's message to him.

As the men of El Jorbaji and Mousa Agha attack El Zafaranj, war erupts once again. After his mother dies, Shaalan feels remorse for his love for and involvement with Safiya, especially since their love is what caused all those troubles.

Uqab tells Shaalan not to feel guilt or remorse for the war between his father and El Zafaranji, and asks him to be with the mountain men permanently.

Azmek feels that Safiya is sad after learning about Fawaz's marriage to another girl, upon which Azmek makes sure that Safiya regrets escaping with Shaalan and igniting a war between her father's family and his family, especially since she has feelings for Fawaz.

Fawaz gets married, and his father holds a big wedding party for him and invites all the aghas of the Levant. Mousa asks El Jorbaji El Darani to forget what happened so that people do not get harmed in the war between him and El Zafaranji.

Azmek grows attached to Safiya bit by bit, and every time he tries to tell her the truth about his feelings for her, he backs off at the last moment.

Fayyad asks his father to leave the affairs of the administration to him. Azmek makes sure that Safiya no longer loves Shaalan like she used to.

Fayyad asks his father's permission to find the thieves who stole food from their storehouse. Shaalan assigns Abdo to search for Safiya in the village.

Shaalan tells Uqab that he decided to go down to the village himself to look for Safiya, and asks for his permission to leave the mountain and go back to the Levant.

Selim Pasha sends a letter to El Jorbaji El Darani asking him to try to maintain the stability of the Levant.

The conflict between El Jorbaji El Darani and Selim Pasha intensifies after Ejaili tries to constantly drive a wedge between them. Shaalan decides to stand by his father after learning about his problems and internal crises in the country.

Sakina gets close to her husband, Fawaz, and falls in love with him after learning how much he loves the people, and his constant desire to help them. El Jorbaji El Darani asks Mousa to look for his son, Shaalan, for him.

As Ejaili's attempts to drive a wedge between El Jorbaji El Darani and Selim Pasha fail, he resorts to reigniting the war between El Darani and El Zafaranji.

Mousa asks El Jorbaji to put an end to El Zafaranji after the latter provoked him and tried to harm his trade in the market. Azmek tells his friend, El Mawardi, that he is in love with Safiya.

Selim Pasha goes crazy after he learns of an attempt to poison him by one of the statesmen who want to get rid of him. Selim decides to sentence each man who plotted to kill him to death.

Shaalan meets Safiya and tells her that he will never leave her. Mousa learns that there is a conspiracy to kill El Jorbaji El Darani, so he decides to send his man to warn him.

Selim asks his aides to tighten the noose on Mousa Agha and El Jorbaji El Darani so that they surrender to him. As El Jorbaji learns of Selim Pasha's plan, he hatches a plot to kill him.

Selim Pasha turns against Shaalan, and orders his men to find him alive so that he can punish him for betraying him.

As El Jorbaji refuses to hand over his son to Selim Pasha, the war erupts between them again. The people revolt against El Jorbaji and Selim. El Jorbaji and Mousa firebomb the diwan of the Mufti House where Selim Pasha resides. Ahmed Bey sends a message to the Sultan to save the Levant.
