After a fight with her neighbors over the way they talk about her family, Sharbat is late to her job at the factory which infuriates her colleague, especially the jealous Badriya. Sharbat sets Badriya's husband up to show how he harasses her, and Badriya gets transferred to another factory.

El-Sanadili and his wife Mohgah quarrel over Sharbat being among the workers who stayed late. At Hakim's party, his daughter Rasha is upset with him over what he did to her mother whom he cheated on after which she got sick. Sharbat is impressed when El-Sanadili takes her to the Zamalek atelier.

Hakim locks Sharbat in the atelier after El-Sanadili is transferred to the hospital. His nephew Yasine manages to resolve the issue despite Nesreen's attempt to involve the police. Sharbat finds out that her brother Hamdy is accused of theft and tries to resolve the matter.

Sharbat asks El-Sanadili to find her another job or help her get her old one back. Upon hearing screams in the night, Rasha and her uncle Hatem discover that Hakim tried to assault a maid. Hakim admits to having a psychological problem and promises to stop if Rasha forgave him.

When jealous Mohjah fights with Sharbat, she promises her that there is nothing going on between her and El-Sanadili. Hakim sends Hatem to Rasha, who left for Yomna's place, to convince her to come back. Sharbat's brother Safwat gets a small role in a movie but he needs formal wear, which Sharbat promises to get for him.

Mohjah and Sharbat reconcile. Yomna asks Hatem to meet Fares. Sharbat asks Yasine to help her find a job.

After his niece Nadia is admitted to the hospital, Hatem and Rasha are shocked to discover that she was pregnant and that Foad beat her till she lost her baby. Hatem attacks Foad and swears revenge. Nadia promises Hatem not to go back to Foad.

Seif asks his wife Nesreen to get close to Rasha but Hakim refuses to let them go to her and Nadia. After learning of his involvement in drug and prostitution, Hatem and a former friend of Foad's get him arrested along with Nardine, Nadia's friend.

When Yasine confides in his father about his secret marriage, his father shares that he also married in secret 5 years ago. Hakim and Sharbat start falling for each other, and Hakim agrees to let Sharbat wear one of his dresses and give her some money in exchange for spending the night with him.

Fearing Rasha's reaction after she catches him and Sharbat together, Hakim says that he married Sharbat in secret and gathers the family to inform them. Hamdy tries to get out of his relationship with Basma. Safwat is saddened over Nardine's arrest.

A roaring storm erupts in Hakim's house after the news of his marriage to Sharbat who now goes by Shushet. Hakim gives her two brothers jobs, much to his family's frustration. As Yasine and Hala meet their father's second wife, Nesreen recounts her struggles to Rasha.

Due to his love for acting, Safwat refuses to work for Hakim and accepts to appear in a video clip. He is shocked to see the newly married Nardine and initially refuses to work with her. Basma tells Hamdy about her pregnancy and enlists Sharbat's help to get Hamdy to marry her.

Hakim's family is angered when he legally registers his marriage to Sharbat and they threaten him with interdiction. Yasine designs Sharbat's wedding dress and asks to be put down as the designer but Hakim refuses as always.

At Hakim and Sharbat's wedding party, Hakim starts to introduce her to his family, but everything turns upside down when Yasine arrives. Sharbat's behavior enrages Rasha, Nesreen and Nadia. Sharbat learns that Yasine's mother refuses to acknowledge his marriage.

When a dinner party takes a turn for the worse, Sharbat is enraged at how Hakim's family is treating him. Hakim asks Safwat to temporarily replace Yasine in one of the stores. Seif plots to have Nesreen get close to Sharbat.

Rasha tries to reconcile Yasine and his mother by pretending to fall for him, something that his mother has always wished for. When Nadia fights with Safwat and harshly mocks him, Sharbat brings up what Foad did to her which enrages everyone.

Growing concerned that Sharbat knows exactly what Foad did to her, Nadia and Rasha confront Sharbat who confirms their suspicion. She advises Nadia to get over him and informs them that she found out through Safwat who was told by Nardine.

After a confrontation between Sharbat and Seif, Hakim orders him to stop drinking in the house because Sharbat and her family don't like it. Seeking retribution, Seif pours alcohol into the fruit juice pot, getting the entire family drunk.

When Hakim dies, a grieving Sharbat is accused of poisoning him. His family is upset that he left her half his fortune, and Hatem comes up with the idea of imprisoning and torturing her. Neither Nadia nor Rasha are convinced that Sharbat killed Hakim.

When Yasine assures Sharbat that he doesn't believe that she killed Hakim, she confides in him that she loved Hakim and that she plans to get back at everyone who hurt her. Hatem is surprised that he is grieving Hakim and talks to Yomna about Hakim's cruelty towards him.

The family clashes over Hakim's will when a group of them favors seizing Sharbat's share by force and another group opposes them. Sharbat and her family get everything in order to claim half the fortune as dictated by the will.

Hakim's sister Awatef tries to convince Hatem to seduce Sharbat so they could get her money. Nadia notices Rasha's jealousy when Sharbat calls Yasine but Rasha brushes her off.

Seif starts to manipulate Sharbat and tells her about everything that's happening in the family. When Yomna objects to Awatef's plan, Hatem challenges her over his ability to make Sharbat fall for him. When Safwat's condition starts to deteriorate, he assures Sharbat that he is just exhausted.

When Safwat fights with Nardine, he has to race to save her when she threatens to commit suicide. Foad arrives when Safwat is still in the house, prompting him to hide. As Foad starts to suspect that something is wrong, Safwat escapes and seeks Sharbat out.

Safwat confesses his relationship with Nardine and how much he regrets it. Hatem tries to manipulate Sharbat and apologies for accusing her of murdering Hakim. Yomna argues with Hatem over using their son Hamza as a way to get close to Sharbat.

Hala confides in Sharbat as Awatef continues to plot. Nadia is upset that Rasha didn't tell her about her visit to Yasine's wife. Safwat invites Rasha and Nadia to the opening of his show.

Sharbat blames Yasine for how he's been stringing Rasha along. Nadia and Safwat bond over their love for art. Hatem sabotages Sharbat's car to get her to ride with him and continues to try to seduce her.

Hala and Yehya enlist Sharbat's help to facilitate their marriage. After an accident, Nadia tries to help Safwat when he grows depressed. Rasha confronts Yasine about his indecision.

Safwat warns Sharbat against Hatem. Yomna enlists Rasha's help to leave the country with her son, even if they have to extort Hatem to get him to agree. Seif discovers that Nesreen is pregnant and they agree to change for their child's sake.

Sharbat approves Hamdy's marriage to Qamar. She discovers Hatem and Awatef's plan and quarrels with them. The sudden arrival of a previously unknown brother, Hakim's son from a previous relationship, leaves everyone reeling.
