When Umm Shahin (Shahin's mother) learns that her son Shahin’s boat sank and he was lost at sea, she refuses to accept that and tries to collect information about him from the sailors. Abu Duaij tries to get closer to Abu Dalal so that he can marry his daughter despite the age difference between them.
Umm Shahin remains hopeful that her son will return, despite her son Fahd’s opposition to this and his demand that she acknowledge his death by drowning. Abu Duaij remembers his marriage to Wadha and how she controlled him with her money.
Suleiman tells Wadha of Abu Duaij’s desire to marry Dalal, and Abu Auf offers Fahd to work with him in fishing.
Wadha plots with Suleiman to burn the house of Abu Dalal (Dalal's father). Umm Shahin quarrels with Fahd for his work in fishing. Khairan's son remembers Umm Shahin's refusal to marry him.
As smallpox spreads in the town, Khairan's son and Umm Shahin are infected with the disease. Fahd tries to persuade the townspeople to take the vaccination so that the disease does not spread further. Abu Duaij searches for Dalal after she left home with her father.
Umm Shahin becomes blind, and Abu Duaij decides to take revenge on Wadha and seize her money. Wadha discovers that Abu Duaij killed Suleiman.
Fadel believes that Shahin is still alive, and Umm Shahin is upset that Fahd has turned the house into a classroom.
Abu Duaij decides to search for Abu Dalal and bring him back to the town. Wadha becomes mad, and Umm Shahin closes the classroom after the residents object to it.
Fadel helps Hussein in studying, and Fahd suggests that Abdullah help out in teaching the villagers how to read and write. Umm Shahin is surprised by the arrival of aid to the people, and it is rumored that Shahin sent it.
Umm Hussein is thinking about marrying Fadel, and Abu Duaij continues searching for Dalal.
Fadel marries Umm Hussein. Abu Saleh agrees with Fahd to establish a project that will serve the villagers, while Abu Auf informs Fahd and Jassim that the treasure needs to be divided among all the people.
Umm Shahin agrees with Sultan and his friend to place Shahin's cloak on the beach to make people believe that he is still alive. Fadel agrees with Jassim to burn it to prevent this, and Abu Duaij resorts to a charlatan to find out where Dalal is.
Fadel decides to search for the treasure, and as the news spreads in the village, everyone digs under their house to find the treasure, and they ask Abu Saleh to decipher the map.
As the villagers become busy searching for the treasure, armed men attack the village and rob it, and Fahd is injured by a gunshot.
Abdullah suggests to Jassim and the people that they turn to the police to protect them until Shahin returns from his exile. Dalal turns to Umm Shahin and Fahd to protect her from Abu Duaij.
Fahd likes Dalal, and Abu Duaij's men steal the treasure map from Abu Saleh's house and kill his guard.
Dalal's sister dies, and Umm Shahin decides to marry Dalal to Shahin, who remains missing.
Umm Shahin refuses Fahd's marriage until Shahin returns, and the people continue searching for the treasure. Fadel asks his wife to teach instead of him.
Umm Shahin rejects Fahd's marriage to Dalal, and Umm Hussein tries to mediate with Umm Shahin to persuade her to agree.
Umm Shahin gets Dalal married to the absent Shahin, despite Khairan's son's attempt to prevent her from doing so.
Khairan's son quarrels with Umm Shahin, and Jassim decides to stop the digging and the search for the treasure.
Abu Auf asks Fahd to teach him to shoot so that he can defend the people. Jassim finds a pearl and tries to hide it from everyone, while Abu Duaij quarrels with Deib.
Youssef asks to work with Abu Auf, and Jassim impersonates Youssef and asks Umm Shahin to help him sell the pearl.
Abu Duaij asks Abu Adoun to get rid of Abdul Rahman. The workers stop digging with Abu Auf and leave the job. Jassim seeks to sell the pearl to Abu Duaij.
Abu Auf reconciles Khairan's son and Umm Shahin. Abu Duaij deceives Jassim and seizes the pearl, while Fahd decides to marry Dalal, whatever the cost is.
Jassim quarrels with Abu Duaij, and Umm Shahin tells Fahd that Dalal is Shahin’s wife.
Jassim becomes insane after he attempts to kill Abu Duaij, and the latter asks Abu Adoun to kill Umm Shahin’s children. Umm Shahin receives a message that Shahin will return soon.
After Abu Auf dies, Fahd runs the excavation work in his place, and he proposes to Dalal.
Dalal loses consciousness and falls into a coma. The healer recommends bringing a herb from the bottom of the sea to treat her, and Umm Shahin refuses to let Fahd dive to fetch the herb.
Wadha sets fire to her house while she is inside it as revenge against Abu Duaij. After bandits attack the town and Fahd confronts them, his mother becomes proud of him and calls him Shahin.
