Umm Hassan (Hassan's mom) tells Jamila that there is a woman who can cure her of infertility. Abu Kamal tries to incite Dhafer against Abu Dagher so that he can win leadership of the neighborhood.
Abu Al Dahab is forced to quit working after falling ill, and Salem and Dhafer take over the management of the business in his place. Abu Hassan (Hassan's dad) asks his son to marry in order to have children.
Dagher discovers that his children have stolen the agency's money. Umm Hassan continues to contact the witch because she believes there is a spell cast on Jamila that is keeping her from having children.
Abu Dagher fires Abu Adnan, while Dhafer incites Abu Al Daas against Hassan.
As an unknown person burns Abu Dagher's goods, the police investigate the matter, while Hassan refuses to cooperate with them in order to take revenge on the perpetrator himself. Abu Al Dahab decides to distribute his property before his death so that his brother's children do not inherit from him.
Jamila travels to Tripoli for treatment for infertility. Abu Dagher asks Hassan to assign someone to distribute aid to the poor, while Abu Diab insists on removing his brother Abu Kamal and taking his place at work.

The selection of the leader is postponed until Abu Al Dahab regains his health, and Dhafer is still seeking to get rid of Hassan so that he can become the leader.

Dhafer and Abu Al Daas plot to kill Hassan and Abu Dagher, but the latter takes caution. Abu Al Dahab agrees to marry his daughter to Hassan in order to fix things with Abu Dagher.
Hassan marries Dhafer's sister, and quarrels break out between Dhafer and Abu Al Daas over money, so Hassan tries to stop him and support Dhafer.
Abu Dagher becomes seriously ill, while Tayseer proposes to Jamila's sister, and they get married.
During the leadership meeting, Abu Dagher faints and the meeting is postponed. The latter is surprised when his sister attempts to steal his seal.
Abu Dagher dies, while Hassan's wife gives birth. Demonstrations and quarrels erupt between the neighborhood's residents and French soldiers when they try to control the neighborhood.
