Diana is worried about Anwar meeting her and tells her friend Kamal about it. Kamal meets Ghanem, his college classmate, and on the other hand, Layla remembers her love for Ghanem, the brother of her friend Reem.

Professor Ahmed seeks to get closer to his student Layla. Anwar tries harass Diana. Ghanem's relationship with Kamal strengthens, and Hayat asks Tariq to stay away from her.

Anwar quarrels with Kamal, and Ghanem defends the latter and is stabbed with a knife, as a result of which he is taken to the hospital in serious condition. Rania meets her classmate Layla and seeks to get closer to her to keep her away from Ahmed.

Ghanem regains his health. Salem's father quarrels with his son because the latter neglects his studies, while Rania hires someone to falsely claim that there is a relationship between him and Layla.

Layla's mother prevents her daughter from going to university, believing that she is misbehaving. Hayat tries to find out the person who reported her for tax evasion.

Things get tense between Layla and her mother. Ahmed meets Layla's father to ask for her hand in marriage. Salem's father travels to check on Ghanem in the hospital.

Kamal convinces Diana to complete her studies and not return to her country, while Anwar continues to monitor them. Hayat scolds Shawqi for abandoning her and marrying another woman.

Kamal tells Ghanem of Maha's love for him. Layla thinks that Ahmed is behind the person who called her mother and sabotaged her relationship with Kamal.

Diana tells Kamal that Anwar is pursuing her again. After Reem scolds him for not telling her about his relationship with Layla, Ghanem asks for the latter’s hand in marriage.

Ahmed warns Layla about Rania, while Kamal offers Ghanem to take over the management of his father's company to pay for his education abroad, and the police arrest Anwar.

Maha tries to convince Ghanem to work with her father, and she reveals her feelings for him, but Ghanem rebuffs her and asks her to stay friends. Dr. Anas meets Reem and falls for her.

Kamal's father dies. Ghanem searches for a job upon his return to Kuwait, and Salem asks Nagwa to marry him.

Salem's family objects to his relationship with Nagwa due to the large age gap between them. Zeina asks Kamal to travel again. Hayat discovers that Shawqi has cancer.

As he decides to manage his business, Kamal visits Salem in his hometown in Kuwait, and an argument breaks out between him and Layla. Salem insists on marrying Nagwa despite everyone’s advice to him to stay away from her.

Ghanem is shocked when Kamal likes Layla and tells him that he wants to marry her, unaware that she is Ghanem's fiancée.

Ghanem tries to sabotage his relationship with Layla so she's break off their engagement. Hayat tells her friend that she is thinking about marrying Shawqi.

Reem consoles Layla after her breakup with Ghanem, who asks Kamal to propose to Layla. Anas asks Sawsan to help him get closer to Reem.

Sawsan tells Reem that Anas wants to marry to her. Kamal continues to write to Layla in the hope that she will reciprocate his feelings for her. Salem asks his aunt, Ghanem's mother, to help him marry Nagwa.

Salem tells his mother about his marriage to Nagwa. Layla is attracted to Kamal, who proposes to her. Layla’s brother’s surgery is successful and his sight is restored.

Salem's father quarrels with Ghanem for leaving Layla, who feels remorse for agreeing to marry Kamal.

Kamal asks Ghanem to return to attend his wedding to Layla, while Reem considers telling Layla the reason for Ghanem’s breakup with her. Salem takes Nagwa to introduce her to his family.

Layla and Kamal's wedding takes place, and the latter discovers Ghanem's sacrifice for him.

Layla travels with Kamal to Lebanon, while Ghanem remains devastated over losing Layla, and his mother and uncle, Salem's father, try to support him in his grief.

Ghanem remembers his previous life with Layla and wanders around the streets, while his family searches for him. The police arrest Tariq on charges of robbing Hayat’s atelier.

Ghanem's condition deteriorates, and his uncle finds him among a group of young drug addicts. Diana visits Kamal, who tells her of his marriage to Layla.

Layla asks Kamal for a divorce, but he convinces her to give him a chance and suggests that she work with him in the company. Ghanem's mother grieves over her son’s condition and his addiction to drugs.

Ghanem travels to Lebanon and visits Kamal at his home, but the latter asks him to stay away from him, while Hayat gets to know Ghanem.

Ghanem works at Hayat's atelier, to which Shawqi objects. Diana tells Kamal that she wants to travel after Anwar is released from prison.

Hayat helps Ghanem get treatment for addiction. Layla feels jealous of Kamal's interest in Diana, and Anwar kidnaps the latter.

Kamal tries to save Diana from Anwar, who commits suicide. As his condition improves with the help of Hayat and Nadia, Ghanem marries the latter. It is revealed that Nadia is Kamal's paternal half-sister, and the two friends return to the way they used to be.
