Fawzy tries to attack Rawhiya, but she escapes from him. Fawzy dies, and the police interrogate all the villagers and suspect Shaker. The villagers burn Rawhiya's house, thinking that she is causing them problems with her magic.

Shaker searches for Rawhiya, and Salim shoots Shaker, thinking he is his wife Zahra’s brother. Rawhiya faints in front of Ghanem and his wife Fathia’s house, so they treat her.

The soldiers attack the villagers and violently seize their crops. Shaker intervenes to save a woman, but is thrown into prison and framed for killing Fawzy. A thief attacks Ghanem's house and tries to assault Rawhiya, but Ghanem kills him and buries him.

Hajji tries to find a way out for Shaker, knowing his innocence, but to no avail. Ghanem falls ill and refuses to leave the house because he killed the man while defending Rawhiya.

Shaker is sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor. Amer asks for Rawhiya's hand in marriaage, but she refuses. Abu Al Ayoun tells Rawhiya where Shaker is, so she goes to meet him during his deportation, and he tells her of his intention to escape.

Rawhiya apologizes to Amer for not accepting to marry him, and tells him about her love for Shaker, who is suffering in prison from the dominance of one of the prisoners, and the prisoners want to appoint him as their leader.

The interrogation begins with the prisoners because of the murder of one of them, and they are tortured to reveal the identity of the killer. Ghanem dies, and one of the prisoners is threatened, so he gives his money to Shaker to keep it for him.

As Shaker escapes from prison with three of his friends, Rawhiya and Fathiya leave their place after Ghanem’s death, and the police try to find Shaker and the rest of the escapees.

Abu Hamed hosts Shaker and his friends, and helps him find Abu Al Ayoun, who helps Shaker find Rawhiya's place and arranges a meeting between them before Shaker travels to Egypt.

Abu Al Ayoun devises a plan with Azouz so that Shaker can see Rawhiya, but Azouz betrays him and tells the police about the plan. However, Abu Al Ayoun discovers this and changes the plan and saves Shaker, and Shaker and his friends escape on their way to Egypt.

Shaker and his friends search for a way to reach Egypt, and a boat owner sets them up and informs the police about them. They are arrested and imprisoned in Beirut, where Shaker meets Salim. Policeman Azmi and Azouz plot against Rawhiya, and she is arrested in a suspicious house.

As Rawhiya is put in prison and refuses to eat, Salim helps Shaker find the money that Azouz stole from him. Shaker and his friends are sent back to prison and he asks one of the prisoners to check on Rawhiya.

Nazim asks Rawhiya to marry him, and she agrees. Before executing one of the prisoners, the prisoner tells Shaker where the jewelry he stole is. Shaker asks the policeman to exempt him from fulfilling his promise not to escape, in exchange for half of the stolen jewelry.

Shaker tries to escape, but he and his friends are arrested and tortured. Rawhiya marries Nazim and gives birth to a girl named Tamima. Shaheen tries to cause discord between Nazim's children and Rawhyia, and Nazim documents Rawhyia and her daughter's share of the inheritance.

The youth of the revolution capture Azmi and Shaker saves him. Then Azmi dies in the revolution, and it becomes clear that Zahi did not die. He returns from the army and finds that his brother has gone blind. Tamima shoots herself when she sees Zahi because of her marriage to his brother.
