Ashraf questions Mohamed on bribery charges. Bahgat is informed of what the State Security Services have done to the college students. The Muslim Brotherhood's Guidance Bureau decides to take action and incite demonstrations in universities. Sherine and Ashraf run into each other at a restaurant.
The General Guide tells Bahgat to exploit the incident of the youth of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) who were beaten in the universities. The MB students in Al-Azhar university strike and show off their strength. Ashraf meets Khaled to discuss selling the apartment.
When Ashraf finds Abdul Hamid's son among the detained MB students, Abdul Hamid goes to see the General Guide who tries to recruit him. The State Security Services arrest Bahgat when they find a lot of money at his house. A member of the Parliament visits Judge Abdullah's ranch.
Abdullah talks to Ashraf about the MB and its founder, Hassan Al-Banna. The attorney general tells Ashraf to question all the detainees except Taymour. Ashraf fires Aida when she dons the niqab. Abdullah tells Sherine to give Ashraf some books, including Hassan Al-Banna's diaries.
As Ashraf questions the detained MB students, he starts to read about Hassan Al-Banna and how he enlisted his friends' help to create an association that sends threatening letters to those who don't abide by Islamic teachings
As the news about Hassan Al-Banna's association spreads, Sheikh Zahran admonishes Hassan. Hassan reads about Hassanein Al-Hsafy. Abdul Hamid learns that Taymour joined the MB for a girl.
Ashraf question Hussein who would rather be in prison where he can get fed. Aida takes off the niqab and returns to work. Hassan Al-Banna encourages a number of Sheikhs to preach to people in coffee shops. Al-Banna speaks to a publishing house's owner who is convinced that Muslims need a caliphate.
Al-Banna tries to convince a prominent group of Sheikhs that Islam needs to be defended. Al-Banna graduates from faculty of Dar Al-Ulum and starts preaching to people in mosques and coffee shops.
As Al-Banna becomes well-known in Ismailia. The first seed of the MB is sown when Al-Banna asks people to give him a vow of obedience. In current times, the State Security Services releases some of the detained MB students, including Taymour.
Ashraf and Souad visit Abdullah and Sherine. In the past, Hassan Al-Banna forms the MB and decides to style its leader as the General Guide. Al-Banna gets a job opportunity in Hejaz but the Egyptian government stops his trip.
As Britain gathers information about Hassan Al-Banna and the MB, Al-Banna learns that someone is claiming that he is an enemy of the king. Al-Banna learns that Moheb and Rashid want the king of Saudia Arabia to become the caliphate of all Muslims.
Al-Banna clashes with the members of the MB when a French Baron gives a donation to build a mosque. He forms a branch of rangers to defend the MB. Al-Banna wants Ali Al-Gedawy to be the MB's representative in Ismailia.
Some MB members disapprove of Ali El-Gedawy's appointment. The General Guide plots to use the media to the MB's advantage. Sherine is arrested after her report is aired. Abdullah and Ashraf discuss Hassan Al-Banna.
Hassan Al-Banna decides on the MB's rules. As he plots to make the MB the strongest party in the country, he sets his eyes on students, government employees and wealthy people. He picks a group of college students and assigns them to recruit more members from their universities.
Al-Banna convinces the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar to allow the MB to give sermons in mosques. He gets the rangers branch to train in arms.
Special brigades of highly trained members are incorporated into the structure of the MB. Moheb and Rashid demand for the MB to take a stand against the British occupation.
Al-Banna and Ali Maher Pasha agree that the people need to see King Farouk as a religious man, but the Wafd party and Mostafa El-Nahas regard this as exploiting religion for political reasons.
As Hassan Al-Banna's popularity grows, Ali Pasha advises King Farouk to use the MB to support the throne to counter the Wafd youth's support of Mostafa El-Nahas. Al-Banna gets new weapons for the brigades to train with.
Al-Banna and the rangers branch prepare to welcome the king in Alexandria. Ashraf investigates a corruption and bribery case.
Abdullah and Ashraf discuss the MB's secret organization. Ali Maher becomes Prime Minister. Al-Banna is upset with the king's indifference to him. He decides to form a secret organization to oppose the British occupation and anyone who opposes their cause.
Some MB members oppose Hassan's involvement in politics. Ali Maher resigns. Hassan is nearly transferred to Qena but the king interferes to stop it. The British occupation is upset with the sermon given by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar.
Abd Al-Rahman Al-Sanadi is put in charge of the secret organization. Al-Banna reconsiders his plan to run for Parliament after he meets El-Nahas and wins some concessions.
The Minister of Interior demands to know if the MB is a political party or a religious organization. Ahmed Maher Pasha becomes Prime Minister. When Al-Banna's bid for a parliamentary seat fails, Abd al-Rahman Al-Sanadi tells Ahmed Abdel Fattah Taha to kill Ahmed Maher.
Mahmoud El-Essawy kills Ahmed Maher Pasha. His successor, Mahmud Fahmi Al-Nuqrashi, arrests Al-Banna and other MB and party leaders. Al-Sanadi tries to turn the British forces against Nuqrashi.
When Judge Ahmed Al-Khazindar sentences two MB members to prison, Al-Banna arranges to have him assassinated. The assassins are arrested which puts Al-Banna in a tough spot with the other MB leaders.
When the police find a car that contains weapons and papers that belong to the MB's secret organization, Nuqrashi prepares to force the dissolution of the MB. Al-Banna tries to get the king to forestall Nuqrashi's decision.
All of Al-Banna's attempts to prevent the dissolution of the MB fails. Most of the MB leaders are arrested with the exception of Al-Banna. Nuqrashi is assassinated by MB member Abdel Meguid Ahmed Hassan.
Mustafa Mar'i advises Al-Banna to condemn Al-Nuqrashi's assassination as a terrorist act. But Shafiq Ibrahim Anas plants a bomb in the courthouse where records of the car investigation are kept. Al-Banna's attempts to repudiate the act are met by anger from his followers.
