Dorgham and the men of the Resistance exchange fire with the French occupation which results in Dorgham getting shot in the foot and the death of his comrade. Afterwards, Dorgham bursts into the party held by Salim Al Agha and the most powerful men in town and mocks their celebration.
Dorgham tells his lover Shafika that he is never going to leave her, but that he must leave to deliver a message from his martyred friend to his family. The French occupation enters their town.
The occupation forces confiscates the townspeople's food and supplies, and break into their homes to terrorize them. As Dorgham learns of what happened to Shafika's house, he decides to avenge her.
The occupation forces execute one of the townspeople while Dorgham manages to rescue his lover Shafika from being assaulted by a traitor allied with the occupation.
The occupation forces interrogate Shafika about their man who was hurt and hospitalized because of her, and she tells them she does not know who attacked him. Dorgham makes sure Shafika is well before planning his revenge on the occupation forces.
The resistance manages to burn down one of the occupation's warehouses, which causes the occupation forces to retaliate by detaining members of the resistance and burning one of them alive. Meanwhile, Sameh Al Agha's friend is enraged at him when he learns he makes donations to the occupation.
Sameh Al Agha goes to Shafika's house and confesses his feelings towards her, asking for her hand in marriage. Shafika rejects him and tells him she is in love with Dorgham.
The townspeople react angrily to Salim Al Agha's speech that glorified the French occupation. Therefore, they decide to take a stand against him, now considering him a traitor.
Dorgham meets with the men of the resistance and sets up a plan for them to take down a car full of occupation officers. As they succeed in their mission, the French commander knows of this and sets on for revenge.
Dorgham tries to recruit as many townsmen as possible to join them in fighting the French occupation. Meanwhile, Salim Al Agha promises the French commander that he will stand with him against the resistance.
The townspeople accuse Dorgham of having an affair with Mathilde, a girl who arrived with the occupation forces. Mathilde asks Dorgham to marry her but he refuses.
Dorgham meets his lover Shafika and tells her of Mathilde who accompanies the French commander. He warns her against speaking with her and tells her she has asked him to marry her and he declined.
Dorgham meets with the men of the resistance and they agree to strike against the occupation forces. He also tells them he is waiting for the right moment to reveal the details of the plan.
The resistance launches a violent attack on the occupation forces, killing two of their soldiers. The resistance also kills Sameh.
The occupation forces arrest Dorgham and several other members of the resistance and use brute force to get them to confess to the murder of the soldiers. However, Dorgham and his comrades do not succumb.
Men of the resistance manage to help their comrades, including Dorgham, escape the occupation prisons to the hills. Dorgham and the men agree they have to carry out a military operation against the occupation as soon as possible.
Shafika tries to defend herself against an occupation soldier who then stabs her, hurting her gravely. A townsman then comes to her rescue, takes her in and treats her wound, and asks her to stay at his house until she recovers.
Mathilde meets Shafika and tries to make a deal with her: to return her lover Dorgham to her but only if she agrees to her condition. Meanwhile, Dorgham begins plotting their operation against the occupation.
Shafika tries to check up on her lover Dorgham by asking his friends about him. Dorgham discusses his plans to attack the occupation with his comrades in the resistance.
Salim kidnaps Shafika and demands she tells him where Dorgham is, and when she refuses, he tortures her. Meanwhile, Dorgham learns that he is followed by the occupation forces in town and that there is a traitor who has been relaying all his movements.
A townsman helps Shafika escape Salim Al Agha's men. Meanwhile, Dorgham and his comrades await the occupation forces' car by the hills.
The French commander has doubts that Mathilde works for the townspeople and the resistance and orders his men to follow her. The men of the resistance manage to stand their ground opposite the occupation forces.
The French commander reprimands his second-in-command and accuses him of failing to perform his duties after the resistance managed to fully take down their military battalion. He then orders him to catch the traitor among them.
The French commander learns that Mathilde works in favor of the townspeople and resistance. As he arrests her and commands her to disclose Dorgham's location or she will be killed, she refuses to reveal his whereabouts.
The commander tortures Mathilde and tries to make her confess to cooperating with the resistance and betraying their forces. However, she manages to stay strong. Meanwhile, Dorgham prepares his men to attack the occupation barracks.
The French commander orders the release of Mathilde. She goes to Dorgham to say goodbye before she travels. Later, Dorgham meets Shafika after a long time and they embrace.
Dorgham learns that the occupation forces have executed his friend Barhoum. Before they manage to execute his family and lover, Dorgham turns himself in to the occupation forces, who shoot him dead and he is martyred.
