Fathallah gets angry after learning that Shaher will return to Bashnin. Nourai gives birth to her son. Shaher asks Fathallah to go with his mother to visit Abdullah. Nourai's father decides to go to Bashnin to find out why Fathallah did not attend the labor of his wife.

As Fathallah learns that Saber El Husseini is in Cairo, he sends a letter to Nourai. Saber detains Allam before releasing him with a letter to Fathallah. The guard arrests Bashir El Sakhawi despite his knowledge of his friendship with Fathallah who decides to apologize personally to Bashir.

The guards arrest Shaher and ask El Sakhawiya to hand over their weapons. As the mayor returns to Bashnin, he decides to prevent Khadra from marrying his brother. Fathallah decides to forbid Shaher to enter the village again.
