Mamdouh confesses his love for Na'sa and his wish to marry her. The mayor pressures Rawash to sell his mill.

When Rawash asks for Hanem's hand, Mamdouh tries to convince her to agree to facilitate his own marriage to Na'sa. Salem tries to get close to Na'sa and keep Mamdouh away from her. Rawash weds Hanem.

Hanem tries to use her marriage to Rawash to convince him to approve Mamdouh's marriage to Na'sa. Umm Mandour (Mandour's mother) asks Rawash to give monetary compensation to her husband for his years of work at the mill. Mamdouh is shocked when Na'sa agrees to wed Salem.

As Salem marries Na'sa, he gets his friend Rabei' a job in the Agricultural Association. Hanem gives birth to a son, Awad, making her a source of influence in Rawash's house.

In the wake of Na'sa and Salem's marriage, Mamdouh leaves the village. Hanem gets Rawash to sell his garden to Salem to buy her golden jewelry.

When Rawash falls ill, he puts Salem in charge of managing the mill. Rabei' falls for Fatma. As fire breaks out at the mill, it's revealed that Salem is the one behind it.

Salem accuses Shehta of causing the fire at the mill. Rabei' tries to find more information about his mother's identity.

Mamdouh falls in love with Manal and tries to get close to her. Sa'fan refuses to tell Rabei' the truth about his mother and his father's death in prison.

As Rabei' leaves the village, he enlists Mamdouh's help to find a job and enroll in college. Rawash prepares his son Awad to be his successor.

Rawash returns to work at the mill. The mayor takes revenge on Rawash for refusing to sell the mill.

Medhat decides to return to the village and leave Nahed. Mamdouh decides to propose to Menna.

When Menna's family visit Mamdouh's, they discover that his father is a barber. In'am tries to warn Na'sa about the way Salem is acting.

Rawash writes his properties over to Awad. As Awad grows up, Salem tries to drive a wedge between Rawash and Awad.

As Awad gets close to a belly dancer called Ghazal, he refuses to work at the mill with his father.

As Salem tries to warn Awad about Ghazal, he informs Rawash of the matter so he could intervene. Salem learns that Awad has sold the mill to Master Gharib. As he quarrels with Awad, the latter stabs him.

Awad is arrested for killing Salem. Sa'fan confesses to Rabei' that his father got his mother killed and slandered her name. As Mamdouh returns to the village, he starts to get close to the widowed Na'sa.
