Adel gets imprisoned for killing his step-father in defense of his mother. Tawfik passes away after a bout of illness. Selim returns from Paris to support Nazik during her time of need. Zeinhoum's suspicions of Samasem make a comeback. Adel gets released on bail.

Sou'ad gives birth to Tawfik's son and names him after her late husband, leaving him in Anisa's care. Adel is arrested when the maid Fawziya testifies against him in exchange for money from the victim's sister. When Samasem goes missing, everyone looks for her. Zakaria decides to remarry.

Selim lands in trouble when Nazik arrives at his apartment while Nourhan is present. Adel gets acquitted. Nourhan informs Selim of her pregnancy. Adel tells Zohra that he is in love with Qamar. Selim visits Soliman to ask for Zohra's hand for his son, Ali.

Soliman's son, Zaher, hires people to burn Bessa's shop. Selim tries to mend his bridges with Zohra and blesses her marriage to Ali. Nazik asks Zohra to move in with her. Selim Al-Badry goes to Paris.

As the Six-Day War breaks out, Ali gets injured during the clashes, and his spirit is broken after the defeat. Zakaria tries to get his daughter back after his release, but she refuses to accompany him. Nagy and Adel quarrel over Qamar.

Despite robbing him in the past, Dawoud visits Selim and offers him a job at his factory. When Ali gets a scholarship in England, Zohra expresses her wish to accompany him after getting married.

Mostafa is pushed to the brink when he gets suspended. Selim brings conflict into his relationship with Nourhan after lying to her as he begins a new affair. Nagy returns to his mother's house. Zohra and Ali face a tough decision regarding their marriage.

When his mother remarries, a furious Adel leaves the house. Zohra publishes her first investigative article. As Zaher gets released, he resumes his plotting against Bessa, despite Soliman's fury.

Ali assaults Zohra's boss. Hamdiya is forced to leave the country. Soliman gets his money back from Bessa. Ali decides to pass on the scholarship for Zohra. When Soliman decides to sell his land to join Nazik in her investments, his family tries to prevent him from making another mistake.

Wahdan and the rest of the family lock Soliman in a room to prevent him from selling the land. Nagy and Adel have another fight over Qamar. On his wedding day, Zaher tries to reconcile with Soliman after taking part in his detainment.

After Kamal Khela asks Selim to turn Dawoud and his son in, Dawoud and his son get kicked out of France. Sarah tries to drive a wedge between Selim and Nourhan. Selim returns to Egypt to check on his children.

Zeinhoum gets arrested for being homeless. Ali and Zohra's disputes escalate. When Shahine gets released, he learns that Taher has been visiting his wife, which leads him to divorce her. Roqaya gets her money back, which encourages Helmy to try and win her back.

Selim informs Ali that Soliman wants to break off his engagement to Zohra. Nagy tries to discern Qamar's feelings towards him. Soliman stipulates that Ali must write the factory over to Zohra when he marries her. Adel asks Selim to accompany him to ask for Qamar's hand.

Selim reveals to Nazik the truth about her new husband. When Zohra gets the chance to go to Paris, she tries to convince her father to approve her marriage to Ali before she leaves. Ali is chosen to be a part of a new political party affiliated with the government. Selim agrees to sell the leather factory.

Nourhan's behavior in Paris provokes Selim, who tries to reach an accord with Tal'at. Nourhan gets Mostafa to speak to Tal'at to discern his demands. Zakaria's daughter Faten gets arrested.

Faten lands in trouble over her mother's nightclub. As Zohra's boss tries to get her to reconsider her marriage, Zohra decides to break off her engagement, much to Ali's sadness. Soliman decides to dissolve his partnership with Nazik's husband.

When an Israeli raid hits the factory where Shahine works, Nagy participates in an operation to retaliate against the Israelis. Adel gets hired in his father's old factory. Roqaya's family learns that she has gotten her money back.

The neighborhood mourns Nagy after he falls in battle. Against Ali's advice, Adel decides to visit Qamar, who humiliates him. Nazik and her husband set a trap for Soliman. Adel gets drafted into the army.

When it's revealed that Nagy is still alive, Qamar decides to marry him. Ali decides to donate his inheritance to support military efforts. Soliman thinks about marrying a land owner. Ali tries to mend his relationship with Zohra.

When Ali gets arrested on political charges, Zohra tries to help him as Selim arrives from France to figure out a solution. Ali gets sentenced to five years in prison.

Nagy gets mad after seeing a picture of Qamar and Adel. Mostafa reveals to Nagat that he has wed Hamdiya. Hamdiya tries to reopen her dance hall, but her daughter stands in her way. Nagy learns that Zohra has wed her boss in secret.

During the celebrations for the October War, Zeinhoum Al-Samahy passes away. Eslah gives birth to Zakaria's son. As news spreads about Zohra's marriage, Soliman grows mad after he finds out, demanding to meet her husband to announce their marriage.

Taher senses that Za'tar wants to seize control of the coffee shop after Zeinhoum's death. Nagy is hospitalized after getting injured during the war. When Zohra's husband refuses to meet Soliman, Zaher kidnaps him. Nazik is angered when Adel visits Nourhan before going to see her.

Omar announces his marriage to Zohra after being threatened by Soliman. Nazik asks Zohra for forgiveness for her behavior in the past. Zohra and Omar's wedding is held at Nazik's villa. It's revealed that Zohra is pregnant.

Zohra decides to leave for France. Nazik decides to set Soliman up and go to France with Zohra. When Ali gets released, he learns that he has been fired from the university. Selim plots against Roqaya and decides to admit her to a mental hospital.

Dawoud and his son give Selim a tempting offer to partner up with them. After their divorce, Zohra is shocked to find Omar on her doorstep. Ali gets arrested again after the events of the 18th and 19th of January. Helmy uses Ali and Roqaya's troubles to bargain with Adel.

When Selim decides to settle in Egypt, he tries to figure out how to get Roqaya released from the hospital and Ali from prison. Nagy decides to break off his engagement to Qamar. Soliman asks Selim to work with him. President Sadat decides to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister, Menachem Begin.

The country is left reeling after Sadat's visit to Israel. Soliman changes his mind about partnering up with Selim. Ali refuses to reconcile with Zohra. Selim decides to launch a new project to restore his former glory.

Ali is put in charge of his father's companies. When Adel proposes to Qamar, she insists on consulting Nagy. Nourhan asks Selim for a divorce. Zohra refuses to abide by the newspaper's new policies.

Nazik's ex-husband returns to demand his money back. Zeinhoum's wife gets control of the coffee shop. Adel marries Qamar. Zohra asks to meet Ali to clear the air. Hamdiya's dance hall burns down. Soliman Ghanem decides to compete against Selim Al-Badry for a political office.
