Youssef, the leader of the Hawara, delegates guardianship of Al Hamameyah to his eldest son, Hammam. Later on, Youssef asks Hammam to marry another, other than Salha, in order to give birth to an heir, and Salha finds a wife for Hammam.
Hammam marries Ward El Yemen, whom Salha is surprised by her beauty. Hammam and his assistant, Ismail, visit Saleh, one of the Mamluks supporting him, to tell him that Ibrahim and his assistant, Ali, the Mamluk, kill their rivals from the Mamluks.
While skirmishes happen between Salha and Ward El Yemen, Hammam makes sure of the betrayal of his cousin Issa. Hammam's men are still trying to arrest Gaber, the bandit. Laila, Ismail's daughter, gets married and travels with her husband.
Laila's husband flees and leaves her after Gaber cuts off their path and he returns her to her family. Later on, Hammam refuses Gaber's marriage to her, as he is a bandit. Meanwhile, Youssef is still waiting for the news of Ward El Yemen's pregnancy.
Rahma, Issa's wife, resorts to witchcraft to prevent Ward El Yemen from getting pregnant. As Hammam resorts to the sheikhs to help Ward get pregnant, with his brother's, Salam, assistance, he is surprised by the news of Salha's pregnancy.
Youssef dies after he exhorts Sheikh Salam. Salha gives birth to Darwish, and the tribes and most of the Mamluks rush to Youssef's funeral.
When Ali, the Mamluk, sends Abu El Dhahab to offer condolences to Hammam, Abu El Dahab maliciously tries to cause a dispute between Ismail and Hammam. As Hammam gathers the people of all villages to speak on their behalf before the Mamluks, he discovers Sheikh Younis' conspiracy against him.
As the elders of the country submit to Hammam as their spokesman, the latter is still bearing the burden of the skirmishes between Salha and Ward. Meanwhile, Younis complains to Ali and the Mamluks about Hammam’s pressure on them. Ismail doubts his daughter's honor as she rejects all who propose to her.
Hammam is surprised by Ward's pregnancy. When Gaber turns to Sheikh Salam to see Laila, Hammam arrests him. Hammam sends Issa to the Mamluks to mortgage his land in exchange for gold. Ali sends sweets with him as a kind of gift to Hammam, who learns of the poisoned sweets after Ismail tastes them.
Gaber saves Ismail from poisoning. After Issa tells Hammam that he got the sweets from Ali, Hammam orders Issa to shave his beard. Gaber vows never to come near Laila again.
Ward El Yemen gives birth to Shahin. Hammam refuses to pay the price of the land mortgage to the Mamluks, and he agrees with Saleh, the governor of Girga, to arm his men and protect Farshut from any aggression.
When Hammam asks Gaber to send a maid to Ibrahim, the Mamluks's leader, to steal the land mortgage papers, they succeed. Ali's attempt to kill Hammam ends in failure, and Laila still refuses to marry anyone who proposes to her.
Hammam tries to cooperate with Saleh to arm his people with cannons and weapons. Meanwhile, Issa travels to protect his land in Bardis, which is in dispute.
The Mamluk forces reach the land of Bardis and are killed by Issa and his men. Hammam tries to cooperate with Sheikh Younis to buy weapons. Laila marries against her will, and Rahma informs Laila's husband's family of her love for Gaber.
Laila suffers from the mistreatment of her husband, and Rahma resorts to witchcraft for Laila after Salha assails her for spreading rumors. As Laila's husband assaults Salam while defending Gaber, she is divorced after her family sees her husband's mistreatment of her.
Salha asks Ismail and Shams, her mother, to let Laila stay with her until her condition improves. The Mamluks send spies to find out about Hammam's arrangements, and Ibrahim is shocked at preventing trade with more than one region.
Ibrahim Bey gives up the land of Bardis. Hammam arrests the Mamluk's spy and orders that a message be sent of capturing and killing him. Ali kills Ibrahim Bey and takes over the sheikhdom of Egypt. Ward El Yemen gives birth to two children.
Laila suffers from a mental illness from what she suffered in her marriage and Rahma's witchcraft. Ismail refuses Hammam's request for Gaber to marry Laila, whom Gaber still loves.
Laila's mother confirms Rahma's witchcraft for her daughter, and Gaber tries to ask for Laila's hand from Ismail, who rejects his request. Salha assaults Rahma for what she did to Laila. Later on, Hammam's children are assaulted. Ali Bey kidnaps Salam.
Ali Bey is surprised by Salam storming his room in the palace. Hammam frees Sheikh Salam. Ali Bey orders Saleh Bey to be exiled to Gaza to break his connection with Hammam, who cooperates with Saleh to devise a plan for his escape.
As Ali plots to kill Saleh, Gaber protects and smuggles him out. Saleh arrives at Sheikh Younis, who allies with Ali to hand Saleh over to him, so the latter escapes. Muhammad Bey tries to search Hammam's house, but the latter refuses, and Muhammad sows discord between Ismail and Hammam.
As Ali Bey sends Hussein Bey to kill Saleh in Minya, he finds Hammam protecting him. Hammam tries to cooperate with Hussein to lie to Ali Bey, who orders the exile of Hussein Bey to Gaza after discovering his cooperation with Hammam.
Ismail argues with Hammam about Gaber's stay in the country, and he kicks Shams out after Laila leaves the house behind their back. Meanwhile, Ali Bey's attempt to kill Hussein Bey fails.
Hammam digs underpass in case of war with the Mamluks. Meanwhile, all the senior Mamluks plot to kill Ali Bey after trying to kill Hussein. Hammam collapses from Sheikh Salam's death on his wedding day. Later on, Ali Bey goes to Hammam, after the decision to exile him, trying to deceive him.
As the dispute still exists between Hammam and Ismail regarding Gaber, it increases over Ali Bey's protection. Meanwhile, Hammam hosts the women of Ali Bey.
Hammam disagrees with Ismail about Ali Bey in front of the Hawara. Shams and Laila resort to Hammam after their dispute with Ismail. As Muhammad Bey sows discord in Ismail's heart towards Hammam, Ismail burns Gaber's house.
Ali Bey is still trying to deceive Hammam with sedition and subterfuge. The Mamluks poison the Grand Imam of al-Azhar for standing with Ali Bey after Hammam pledges to protect him. Hammam hands over to Issa the keys to the underpass.
Ali Bey arrives in Egypt under the protection of Ismail Al Hawari, and he kills all the Mamluks who conspired against him. As Hammam plots to take revenge on Ali Bey for killing Saleh Bey, he prepares his armies after Ali Bey's threatening letter to hand over all the Mamluks he shelters.
Ali cooperates with Younis to ambush Hammam. Laila's condition deteriorates as a result of witchcraft. Hammam visits all the governorates to start the war plan. Due to his illness, Hammam waits and leaves Ismail to take over the war. Ali completes his plan to cause strife between Ismail and Hammam.
Ismail orders the armies to withdraw after he cooperates with the Mamluks, and Hammam is shocked when Issa informs him about Ismail's betrayal and their entry to Farshut. Ismail is killed by the Mamluks, and Hammam attempts to protect what remains of his family, to begin a new journey of revenge.
