As the soldiers seize control of the land, Abu Fares (Fares's father) gets arrested after the soldiers suspect that he is hiding the gold. Kayed Bey becomes the ruler of the village.
Despite her knowledge that Qassem is in love with her, Hend refuses to marry him. Yehia kills two of Kayed Bey's men. The villagers await Mar'ash's wedding ceremony. The police try to figure out the real identity and story of Nara.
Mahmoud Al-Akhras gets arrested after a quarrel with the bartender. Mar'ash celebrates his wedding. The daughter of Mahmoud Al-Akhras gets arrested on her wedding day and taken to Kayed Bey.
Kayed Bey's sister, Nour Al-Shamekh, suspects that she knows Nara. As Sa'eid Al-Thor and his wife get arrested, Sa'eid ends up dragged on the ground as his son hides. Nour is saddened that her sweetheart has left her.
Kayed Bey's men raid Abu Hassan's house and kill his dog. Kayed Bey has a cloaking ceremony to confirm his authority, becoming known as Kayed II.
Nour falls for a new man. The fortuneteller advises Kayed Bey to abstain from marriage so that he wouldn't have a son to kill him, like what happened with Kayed I.
When Abu Mohamed (Abu Mohamed's father) starts a relationship with a younger girl, his wife learns about it. As Kayed Bey falls ill, he looks for treatment.
Kayed Bey confronts Abu Mar'ash (Mar'ash's father) after the latter's horse drinks from the well. Abu Mohamed imposes additional exactions on the farmers. Abu Torky (Torky's father) confronts Kayed when he rejects his treatment. Zeina reveals that she is pregnant with Abu Mohamed's child.
Everyone comes together to marry Mahmoud Al-Akhras to Zeina, unaware that Zeina is pregnant. Fadlallah claims that Zeina died after falling off the horse. Abu Torky writes Kayed a prescription to treat his lame leg.
As Kayed grows wroth when he learns that his sister Nour has run away, he tries to get one of his men to confess to her whereabouts and the identity of the person she ran away with.
Kayed Bey posts guards to secure Nara and tries to force her to come clean about who she is. As Kayed learns that Nour is alive, he asks his men to bring her from her hideout. Kayed Bey tells his men to slaughter the monkey he brought so that he could get its heart.
With the village suffering from wheat shortage, Abu Mohamed denies that the farmers are indebted to Abu Yehia (Yehia's father), asking them to provide more grain on orders from Kayed Bey. Kayed proposes to Nara but stipulates that she must not have kids.
As Kayed Bey prepares for the opening of the stream that will provide water to the village, the villagers celebrate the fact that they now have water at home. Amer's mother, Almasa, tells Nada about her late son.
Abu Mohamed asks his men to search the villagers' houses to get the grains and sheep of the people. But when one of the villagers is killed by Abu Mohamed, everything spirals out of control as chaos breaks out. Kayed asks Okab to impose order.
As Ansaf prepares to visit Okab to relay the villagers' demands which include tax exemption, she gets killed. As chaos takes hold of the village, Kayed speaks with the villagers, demanding the punishment of Mahmoud Al-Akras as he imposes his control on the village.
As Okab asks one of the villagers to sell his land to Kayed Bey, he gives him one day to think it over, but when the landowner refuses, Okab threatens him.
As Okab revisits the landowner, the latter continues to refuse to sell his land, leading to his arrest. But when he manages to escape, Kayed sends men after him.
When Okab tries to harass Almasa, she gets the upper hand, and she and Nara lock him up in a cellar. As Okab's men look everywhere for him, Kayed Bey grows suspicious of the incident, posting a reward for anyone who has information on Okab.
With Okab still missing, Kayed Bey decides to punish all the villagers. As he tries to force a confession out of Almasa, he takes charge of the interrogation of the suspects.
To punish the villagers, Kayed Bey cuts off their water supply, leaving them without food or water to force them to turn Okab's killer in. Chaos breaks out in the village.
Two months pass as anti-Kayed rebels emerge, awaiting a chance to revolt against him. As Kayed Bey learns that his men have lost their weapons, he tries to get Nara to confess after he learns that she is the one who stole the weapons.
Kayed's men decide to raid Tal Al-Habs (the confinement hill) after it became useless. Nara sets up a trap for Kayed to take revenge on him for what he did to her brothers. Kayed Bey's reign comes to an end.
