Aziz writes a letter and goes with Abdel Khalek with a mango basket to Muhammad to hand the letter to Madiha, but he refuses and warns him not to marry her. Aziz sees Madiha with Medhat. Wedad convinces Saber to accept the job that Zaki got her, but he refuses that she expose her body while singing.

Ehsan enters the hospital. Aziz takes the bullet out of Medhat's leg. The police arrest Zaki by mistake. Aziz delivers Medhat's letter to Madiha. A reward is announced for those who report whoever tried to kill Ehsan. Ratiba suggests that Medhat escape during the wedding.

Medhat offers Aziz to join his group that fights against the British. After Othman asks Karima for money so that he doesn't go to prison, he goes to gamble, whereupon a problem arises, but Medhat intervenes. When Boraiy asks for Basima's hand, she stipulates that he buy her Anton's land.

Saber agrees that Wedad partake in the movie with her voice only. When Shahinaz travels, Reda offers to make Wedad the star of the film. As Saber gets angry at Reda's domination, he throws his money, takes Wedad and leaves, after which Reda asks for her hand, then makes her the star of his movie.

Jamal agrees to Medhat and Madiha's marriage. Aziz is injured in the Palestine war. When Reda rebukes Wedad for going to Radwan Street, she says that he married her for the movie and that he doesn't love her. Ahmed gets Abdel Khalek a job. Boraiy falls ill, and Basima takes his place in the bakery.

Basima tells Boraiy that she defended the bakery when his ex-wives tried to wreck it. Ahlam agrees that Aziz draw her portrait in return for money. Jamal decides that Othman travel after he's shot by those whom he gambles with. Reda gets beaten as he plans to make a movie about the Palestine war.

Zaki marries Bataa. Aziz wins the lottery and gives Ahlam half the money, then he is acquitted of the charge of killing her. As Abdel Khalek likes Fayza instead of Feryal, Hanafi threatens to report him. Reda refuses to have kids with Wedad. After Basima gives birth to a baby, Boraiy signs over the bakery to her.

Reda splits up with Wedad. As Medhat gives Aziz patriotic leaflets to distribute, he asks him to join the guerrillas, and Madiha joins them as well. As the British surround the Ismailia Police Department, Madiha and Medhat's mom worries about Medhat's being in Ismailia, then the Cairo fire takes place.

Ehsan threatens the Free Officers and promises the King to get rid of them. Medhat assigns Aziz to go to Salah Salem and his group in Arish to join them. The 1952 revolution breaks out. Zaki asks Muhammad to host Shawqia in his house. Karima thinks of having Wedad sing at Madiha's wedding.

Medhat and Madiha get married. Othman returns from travel, and resists the police after refusing to yield the land to be distributed according to the agrarian reform law of the revolution. Abdel Khalek learns that Fayza loves him and wants to marry him. Zaki tells Shawqia that he wants to marry her.

Zaki regrets causing Bataa's death. Ratiba's condition improves after she started working with Wedad. Abdel Khalek goes to ask for Fayza's hand. Wedad helps return the money Ehsan laundered. Aziz asks to marry Raifa. Wedad decides to sing at Abdel Khalek's wedding.

Zaki marries Shawqia. The Egyptians stand up to the Tripartite Aggression. Aziz and Raifa's baby dies, while Fayza gives birth to a son. Reda refuses to cooperate with Refaat to make a movie for Shawqia. After the doctor asks Zaki to eat boiled food and abstain from alcohol, Reda asks him to tell him his story.

Fayza asks Basima to hire Abdel Khalek as an accountant, but then she tells him that Basima is the one who asked for him. Gulnar asks Madiha to have a baby with Medhat. After Zaki tells Reda his story, Shawqia sends him abroad for treatment. Reda and Shawqia's film starring Wedad becomes a hit, then Reda dies.

Zaher pursues Basima, who agrees that he partner up with Faraj. As Zaki sells jasmine in the streets, Shawqia gets annoyed with his behavior, so he offers to divorce her after she signs over the shop and apartment to him. Mazen El Halabi falls for Wedad and sends her books to become cultured, then apologizes to her.

When Zaher proposes Basima, she stipulates that she have the authority for divorce. Mazen asks to marry Wedad, but Aziz asks them to choose the appropriate time for that. Mazen is sent to prison. Wedad returns from travel and finds that her father has died. Karima visits Othman in prison.

Zaki accuses Shawqia of masterminding the accident he had. Feryal gives birth and her husband is offered a prominent position. As Othman is released from prison, he falls for Shawqia, so Medhat asks Zaki to report her relationship with him, then she gives up the casino and her property, so he acquits and divorces her.

Medhat offers Othman a job. Basima marries Zaher, who confesses to her the plan of Boraiy's exes and asks her to forgive him. As Rasmi recruits Abdel Khalek to report to him anyone who says anything against the regime, he's forced to report Aziz, and a warrant is issued for his arrest, but Medhat makes him travel.
