Majed and his brother Mahmoud are upset with their stepmother for pampering her son Badr, while their mother, Eitab, asks them to go to the airport to receive their father. Reem reproaches her husband for not buying gifts for her family and for staying in a humble apartment after their marriage.
Ali is upset with his wife Reem's never-ending aspirations and demands, as she does not pay any attention to the debts he's bound with because of her. Badr smokes without his father's knowledge and gets sick and his father takes him to the hospital.
Abu Majed discovers that his son Badr smokes, and that his condition is critical, as he remains in the hospital under observation. He also quarrels with his foreign mother who is requesting a divorce and asks to return to her country.
Abu Majed resents his wife Umm Badr's neglect of their son. Ali complains about his wife Reem's extreme extravagance manner. Saleh is happy with his wife's pregnancy.
Majed asks his father that his brother Badr works at the sales gallery, but Abu Majed tells him that Badr must complete his studies first. Ali decides to return to the government job.
As Badr goes out with his friends, he gets late and his father keeps looking for him with his two brothers. Badr asks Majed to persuade his father to drop out of school. Ali is still upset with his wife Reem's behavior and receiving her family and burdening him beyond his capacity.
As Abu Majed is preparing to travel to work abroad, he asks his wife Umm Badr to take care of their son in his absence. Maryam asks her husband to pay her uncle's expenses in obtaining official papers.
Badr asks his stepmother, Souad, to mediate so that his father agrees to let him leave his studies, as he thinks about opening a company with his friends. Reem tells Ali about her pregnancy and asks him to hire a maid, but he refuses.
Abu Majed is enraged because Badr wants to leave school and work in the gallery. Umm Badr's mother suggests that he study abroad, but Abu Majed refuses. Upon starting work in the gallery, Majed finds some money missing and doubts Badr, who drives off with his car, and gets into an accident.
The doctor tells Abu Majed that his son Badr is still smoking, which affects his health, and he asks him that he stays in the hospital. Majed is surprised that Umm Badr is traveling to her family and leaving him in this state. Saleh's wife gives birth to her first child.
As Badr is discharged from the hospital, he asks his sister's husband to find him a job. Ali agrees to hire a maid for Reem, but he stipulates that she raises their child on her own.
Abu Majed resents Badr for leaving his studies. As Abu Ali reproaches his son for not receiving his uncle and his guests properly, Ali tells him that he has too many debts.
Saleh is looking for a job after he quits working with his father. Ali falls behind in his rent, and the landlord threatens to evict him; Badr's mother suggests that he travels to her foreign country and establish a project there.
Ali tells Reem that the police have arrested him for not renewing his car license. Umm Majed asks her son to take care of his brother Badr and help him, while the latter asks his father to wed Fayez's daughter.
Umm Badr tries to persuade him to marry a foreigner like her, but he wants to marry Abu Fayez's daughter, so Abu Majed divorces his second wife, Umm Badr. Ali tells Reem of his desire to save money to construct a building.
Badr applies for a job at Fayez's company, and asks Hamed to mediate for him, but Fayez refuses. At the same time, Abu Majed asks for Fayez's daughter to marry Badr, and her father agrees, so Badr uses that to try to get the job.
Saleh is hired at Fayez's company. Badr quarrels with his father when he tells him that he does not want to go through with his marriage to Fayez’s daughter after losing the job, and leaves the house without his father’s knowledge.
Abu Majed is surprised that his son Badr traveled to his mother, and when Badr asks for money from her, she asks him to work to support himself. Ali becomes indebted to all those around him and is threatened with imprisonment because of his wife Reem's demands.
Abu Majed decides to help his children get married, and he loses hope that Badr will return. He agrees with Abu Fayez to buy a villa for his children to get married in. As Reem apologizes to her husband, Ali, for the debts that crippled him, she helps him by selling her jewelry.
Majed and his brother get married, and their father is reassured that they are doing okay. Ali begins to improve his financial situation, and Badr returns to his country.
