As the engineer Ra'ouf works in America in Ragab's contracting company, he suffers from the squandering of his wife Amina, who aspires to wed their daughter Maryam to a rich man. Ragab is surprised by the decision of his kids to travel to him since his ex-wife Rawiya is getting married.

Ra'ouf meets with his friends to restore their heritage. Amina seeks to get a loan. As Maryam is stabbed by a thief, Amina comes to visit her drunk. As Ra'ouf supports his Egyptian friends, he decides to resign because of Ragab's bad treatment of him.

As Amina manipulates Ra'ouf to change his decision to resign, she makes Maryam persuade him. Ra'ouf discusses immigration affairs and exchanges views with his friends. Rawiya grieves when Akram and Sarah leave while her husband is happy.

As Rafiq covets Ragab’s money, Ra'ouf receives Ragab’s kids who are amazed at the wealth and miserliness of their father; Ra'ouf asks them to be patient and restores their rights.

Ra'ouf intervenes to help his blind friend Taher because of his daughter-in-law's mistreatment. Amina seeks to marry Akram and Maryam so that the wealth remains between her and Ragab, but they refuse.

As Ra'ouf discovers a fraudulent deal in the company, he confronts Ragab and Amina and threatens to call the police. After a quarrel with Ragab, Akram decides to return to Egypt with Sarah; Ragab decides to let them go in order to see them return to him after they fail.

As the plane crashes, Ragab's kids die and he faces depression. He sends the money to Rawiya to divorce her husband. Maryam befriends a young man and suffers from a conflict of cultures between the two of them. Taher moves to a retirement home after discovering that Sayed lied to him.

As Ragab leaves a general procuration to Ra'ouf, Amina becomes enraged, so she decides to interdict him. As Maryam tells her parents that she loves the poor young man Gino, Amina gets upset.

Gino asks Maryam to make their relationship become stronger. Amina quarrels with Ragab after he makes Ra'ouf a partner in the company. As Amina refuses to travel to Egypt, she gives up the Egyptian nationality and decides to open their restaurant.

After the death of Amina in a terrorist accident, the bank seizes the wealth, and Ragab is placed in a hospital. As Gino breaks Maryam's heart, Ra'ouf decides to return to Egypt with her. After his return, Ra'ouf helps Rawiya get over her grief, while Maryam suffers from a conflict of cultures.

Ra'ouf looks back at his memories with his beloved Hanan after arriving in Alexandria. Maryam suffers from her neighbor's harassment and hits him. As Ra'ouf asks his sister Sumaya to live with her, he meets his old friends and finds out that Hanan's husband died.

As Ra'ouf visits Hanan, they recall their memories. Maryam gets to know the young Salah, while Haitham, Sayed's son, wants to marry her. Maryam begins to get close to Sumaya and her daughter.

Salah quarrels with his father because he was the cause of his heart disease. As Ra'ouf asks Hanan to resume their relationship, she asks him to slow down as she's having trouble with her son Basim. When Haitham tries to get close to Maryam, Salah confronts him.

Sayed asks for Maryam's hand for his son Haitham. Hanan tells Nabila about her marriage and her life with her son. Salah suffers from the poor conditions that stand between him and his sweetheart, Safaa.

As Hanan speaks to Ra'ouf about her concern about Basim, she introduces him to her son. As Maryam is exposed to a health problem, Salah is worried when she stops meeting him and looks for work.

When Ra'ouf discovers that Haitham is renting apartments for hookers, he warns the guard Morsy not to repeat that. Maryam is happy that Salah has found a job. As Sa'eed meets Hanan, he wants to marry Nabila.

Salah quits due to the corruption at work. After the roof of the building is cracked, Sayed decides to sell the building; Sumaya seeks to fix the situation and the residents refuse to cooperate. Maryam reveals to her family that she doesn't want to settle in Egypt.

As the roof collapses, an eviction order is issued for the building; Ra'ouf turns to a lawyer, and Sayed is ordered to restore it. Sumaya's daughter discovers her husband's betrayal of her. Maryam is upset about the infidelity law in Egypt. Salah gets sick and is taken to the hospital.

Ra'ouf's relationship grows stronger with Hanan. Ra'ouf intervenes to reconcile between Marwa and her husband. Salah undergoes a heart operation. Hanan seeks to wed Noha to Basim. Sayed tries to kick the residents out.

Salah regains his health; Basim and Noha get married; Sayed is still looking for a way to throw the residents out.

As Ra'ouf tells Basim that he wants to marry Hanan, he tries to persuade Maryam to stay with him. Sayed finds a new way to kick the residents out. Maha asks to meet Ra'ouf. Sa'eed and Nabila get married.

As Maha gets close to Ra'ouf, he discovers that she misses her father; Nabila gets furious after learning about Maha's actions. As Safaa gets engaged to a richer man than Salah, Salah reconciles with his father.

After discovering Ra'ouf's desire to marry Hanan and their old love, Maryam accuses Hanan of being the reason for the failure of her parents' marriage, and her jealousy increases, but Salah advises her to be reasonable. After Maryam's quarrel with Hanan, Ra'ouf suffers a health problem.

As Ra'ouf is taken to the hospital, Hanan seeks to get closer to Maryam in order to convince her that she loves her father. Ra'ouf begins to treat Hanan differently. As Maryam reconciles with her father, he leaves her his will and her inheritance.

Ra'ouf tells Hanan that he will not marry her. Sayed hopes that Ra'ouf will die. As Maryam tries to help Salah with money, he rebuffs her, which makes Ra'ouf admire him for that. Maha's father intervenes to prevent her from marrying an older man.

Salah goes through a psychological crisis after the death of his friend during illegal immigration. Ra'ouf returns to the decision to marry Hanan after visiting his old friends and invites them to the marriage ceremony.

Nabila is surprised that Maha eloped to marry Yasser. Ra'ouf and Hanan travel to Siwa and learn about Amazigh customs. After their return, Sumaya and her son Sameh visit them. Nabila tells Hanan that Maha ran away and got married.

As Sameh’s fiancée arrives, Sumaya is upset because she's a foreigner. Maryam decides to set up a project, and Salah becomes her partner. Sayed gets angry at the possibility that Sumaya's son might live in the apartment. As Basim passes his tests, he quarrels with Maryam again.

Maha returns to reconcile with Nabila after she regrets her husband hitting her and divorcing her. As a marathon is being held with the opening of the restaurant, Salah decides to participate in it. Sameh marries his fiancée after Ra'ouf fixes a problem between them.

As Ra'ouf gets to know a number of contestants, Salah wins the marathon. As the family opens the restaurant, they all participate in managing it.
