When a soldier is stabbed on the borders, the coroner takes note of the shock on his face. The army enlists Fares's help to solve the crime due to his proficiency in Hebrew. Abu Arag lends his services to the soldiers on the borders.

Sa'ad breaks down after his mother gets murdered. Fares is stupified by the back-to-back crimes. As he looks into the matter, he predicts that there is a spy hidden among them. He also senses that he is being watched by someone close to the village people.

As Fares and the army forces manage to arrest the spy, Fares is sure that Abu Arag is the other spy. As Israel invades Sinai and the Golan Heights, Fares's mother and brother die in the attack.

As the Syrian and Israeli armies clash, many victims fall in the ensuing conflict. Israel occupies the Ibrahimi Mosque (Cave of the Patriarchs). Gamal Abdel Nasser announces his abdication. Fares asks to go on an operation for the freedom fighters. Salma gets close to Fares.

Fares works at a carpentry workshop with Khalil's father. Salam refuses to get married before finding out what will happen to Fares in the war. Sarah denies being in love with the Mossad officer Eilia. Fares is surprised that the army is demobilizing the troops despite being at war.

In order to prevent Linda's family from leaving Israel, Duri takes pictures of Linda in compromising situations. Henry meets Eilia and promises to think over the notion of working for the Mossad. Fares decides to travel to West Germany. Linda and her sister set Duri and his house on fire.

Ival promises to appoint Anne to a prominent office in the Mossad if she agrees to be in a relationship with him and kill some Palestinians. When Anne tells Eilia about Ival's offer, he slaps and imprisons her. Eilia tries to attack Ival. The Mossad order Mirag to kill her husband, Ival.

In Germany, Fares meets the receptionist Rose who asks about his job, only for him to tell her that he quit teaching and is searching for a new job. Henry goes to the embassy of the Netherlands in an attempt to leave Israel with his family. Ival flees abroad with Mirag's help.

With the receptionist's help, Fares pretends to be a Polish Jew called Ishak, meeting Ival and speaking to him in Hebrew. The Mossad asks Mirag to find Ival and kill him. The colonel asks Eshak to kill Mirag if she fails to kill Ival.

Fares frequents the synagogue and makes everyone think that he is loyal to Israel. Lola manages to locate Ival and asks Fares to monitor him. Fares tells Rose about Lola's request.

Fares agrees to monitor Ival, but only if he is told his real identity. When Lola questions her employer, she learns Ival's name and that he is being hunted by the Mossad. When Fares finds out, he offers Ival his help.

Sarah arrives in Germany to look for Ival, who vanishes after being warned by Fares. Sarah looks for Lola when she learns that she might have tipped Ival off. Ival asks Fares to tell him where Lola is. Fares tells Lola that she can either leave the country, or have a confrontation to prove her innnocence.

Ival asks Lola to meet Mirag and inform him of his location. As Mirag and Lola meet at the bar, Lola asks for money in exchange for the information about Ival's location. Ival runs away from Mirag. Fares hides Lola in the hotel.

Mirag tries to seduce Fares to learn where Lola or Ival is. Rose grows worried about Lola's presence at the hotel. Gad'oun asks Sarah to put a rush on the mission. Ival threatens Zivai and demands to have a special pardon and to be honored by Israel.

Mirag asks Zivai to keep an eye on Ishak (Fares) to find Lola. When Adnan's wife suspects that her husband is having an affair with Salma, Khalil's mother assures her that Salma is waiting for Fares. Gad'oun asks Zivai to find Ival.

Sarah feels bad for failing to eliminate Ival. Mirag refuses to receive the Mossad's letter that contains orders for her to stand down. When Mirag rents a room at the hotel, Rose informs Fares. Abu Arag kills Gad'oun and pursues Mirag, Zivai, and Fares.

When Fares captures Abu Arag, he discovers that he is working for the Mossad and kills him to avenge his family. Fares leaves the bar and works for Mirag. Ival asks Fares to put him in contact with Lola. When Eshak's body is returned to Israel, the autopsy confirms that he was killed by a professional.

Ival tells Fares that Mirag is trying to kill him for being a traitor and that he is trying to prove his innocence. Mirag wishes to kill Ival and bring down some Mossad leaders for a change in leadership. Mirag asks Fares to be the link between her and Ival.

Mirag informs Fares that Ival has a microfilm that contains the designs of a protective wall that is to be built around Israel. Ival manages to capture Sarah with Lola's help. Fares gets a copy of the designs.

As Lola takes a picture of Mirag, Ival forces her to record a tape to send to the Mossad. Gad'oun denies that Mirag is in cahoots with Ival. A masked Fares tries to set Sarah free, but Lola stabs him and forces him to flee.

Mirag tries to convince Ival to let her go. Fares gives Ival evidence of his innocence and takes the microfilm and Mirag. Fares and Mirag get rid of Zivai. Mirag informs Gad'oun that she got the microfilm, but refuses to return until she kills Ivals.

Gad'oun informs Ival that he is charged with three counts of murder. As Gad'oun tries to get Mital to improve his relationship with Mirag, Mital tells him that Mirag is so ambitious that she could try to get rid of them to take their place.

Mirag informs Fares that Ival suspects him of killing Zivai and Eshak. Ival asks Fares to find Mirag because she is a danger to them. When Ival attacks Sarah, she kills him and asks Fares to accompany her to Israel.

Rose finds the microfilm that Mirag is hiding and gives Fares a copy. Mirag informs Gad'oun that she is bringing Ival's body back to Israel. When Khalil's father dies, his devastated wife reminisces about her son and Fares and his family. Mirag and Fares go to Israel.

Fares passes the lie detector test and declares his allegiance to Israel. Salma pulls out all the stops to convince Talal to wed Wafaa after he manipulated her into sleeping with him. Fares sends the microfilm to Salma, who gives it to the Syrian authorities.

As Anne provides information about a ship carrying uranium, Israel manages to seize the ship and bring it to Haifa. Talal marries Wafaa. Mital asks Anne to keep an eye on Fares and find out the truth about him.

Fares reflects on his memories of the war against the Israelis. Fares's father asks Khalil's mother to rent the carpentry workshop to Talal. Talal's father opposes his son's marriage to Wafaa.

As Salma remains hung up on Fares, his father tries to comfort her and wishes for his son to return. After Talal's father stands in his son's way after the latter took control of the carpentry workshop, he refuses to attend Talal's wedding as well.

Talal sets a date for his wedding and invites his father, who refuses to come. Anne meets Fares and takes charge of his training. Adnan turns himself in to the Syrian army. Anne tries to drive a wedge between Mirag and Fares.

Anne asks Fares to monitor some agents and gather intel about them; she informs him that he may have to kill some people. When Adnan is released from prison, he learns that his sister Wafaa has married Talal. As the war of attrition breaks out, Eilia attacks Mirag and Fares, and the conflict continues.
