El-Shazly El-Tammer's family gathers on the first day of Ramadan. As they prepare to have dinner, Osman Day arrives to join them.
When Safiya quarrels with Qumer, the latter disappears and Fatma goes looking for him. Fatma enlists the help of Sayed Ahmed and asks around about Qumer. As Safiya starts to feel guilty, Shiekh Tohifa couldn't care less.
When El-Shazly is called in by the police, he discovers that Qumer is accused of trespassing the borders. Osman helps to get Qumer released. Fatma happily informs Sayed Ahmed and Qumer's friends that he is back.
Qumer helps to reconcile Mongy and his wife. Fatma goes out to dinner with Qumer and Sayed Ahmed. Safiya fights with her husband who refuses to let her get a job.
El-Shazly is angry at Fatma for going to a party at the coffee shop. He admonishes Qumer for leaving her with Sayed Ahmed who drove her home. A furious Qumer leaves the house. Safiya continues to fight with her husband.
The midwife informs Safiya that she is pregnant. Safiya doesn't tell anyone but her daughter Souad tells everyone about her pregnancy. Fatma goes to her friend's house to study. Sayed Ahmed sees Fatma when she goes out with her friend's cousin.
Qumer goes back home after he reconciles with his family. Mongy leaves the capital for business. El-Shazly is embarrassed when the neighbors show up to congratulate Safiya on her pregnancy. Fatma's friend tells her cousin that Fatma likes another guy when he tells her that he liked Fatma.
Sayed Ahmed tells Qumer that Fatma is seeing someone. Fatma fights with her family when she learns of her mother's pregnancy. Safiya and Al-Shazly continue to clash over her wish to get a job.
Safiya starts her job as a manager of a sewing factory. Fatma quarrels with Sayed Ahmed after he tells her that he saw her with her friend's cousin. Mongy returns from his trip. The family is upset when Hada serves them leftovers for dinner.
When Naema kidnaps Qumer and locks him in her house, Solaih tries to save him. Osman questions Sayed Ahmed about his fight with Fatma. Safiya feels bad for neglecting her husband.
Safiya is saddened by the distance between her and her husband. Naema releases Qumer. As Qumer tells Sayed Ahmed that Fatma is not involved with her friend's cousin, the guy decides to propose to Fatma.
When Qumer and Sheikh Tohifa go to visit Safiya, they get in a fight with the factory owner, much to Safiya's irritation. When Mongy puts a box of human remains in the kitchen, El-Shazly fights with him after Tohifa passes out after seeing them. Hada tells Fatma that Seham's cousin is going to propose
Fatma tells her father that she doesn't want to marry Seham's cousin. Sayed Ahmed is thrilled when Fatma calls him.
As both Samy and Sayed Ahmed arrive to ask for Fatma's hand, El-Shazly is upset that he wasn't told that Sayed Ahmed's grandfather is coming. Safiya fights with Beya when she tries to cook.
Fatma gets engaged to Sayed Ahmed. Osman reveals his real identity. Naema asks El-Shazly to wed her to Qumer. Hada agrees to wed Osman.
