Mukhtar Al-Iskandarani is a brilliant lawyer who has just won a murder case. He's mad at his employee Heriam for not being into shape. Mukhtar's daughter, Karima, asks Heriam to ask her father for her hand, but her father rejects him.

Mukhtar tells Heriam he has to win his wife over first if he is to agree to the marriage. Heriam and Karima eventually get engaged, but when Heriam fails to win some cases, Mukhtar breaks off their engagement.

Karima asks her father to give Heriam another chance. Karima brings Heriam over to get some books from her father's library and he gets caught. Heriam wins the case.

Rafaat discovers that Mukhtar is sleep-walking and tries to find out why. Rafaat asks Heriam to go out with Karima so that he can be alone with Mukhtar.

Heriam discovers Mukhtar's secret and he tries not to unveil it to Karima. Rafaat finds Mukhtar sleep-walking again and he has a photo of a woman in his suit.

Heriam accidentally blurts out the secret to Safwat, Rafaat's brother. Karima breaks off her engagement to Heriam after finding out the truth. Upon reading the newspapers, Rafaat discovers that the woman in the photo is a murder victim.

Rafaat and Heriam suspect that Mukhtar is behind the murder. Mukhtar discovers that the stepson of the murdered woman has confessed to committing the crime, but he knows he is innocent because he is left-handed.

When Heriam faced Mukhtar with his suspicions about the murder, he called the mental hospital to take him. Rafaat takes Heriam out of the hospital. While he's sleep-walking, Mukhtar attacks Safwat and shoots Heriam.

Rafaat switches the bullets with fake ones for fear of a new crime. Mukhtar and Rafaat try to persuade Heriam to go to the psychiatrist pretending to be Mukhtar, and explains to him the latter's condition.

Mukhtar is afraid that if he sleeps he might harm his family. Rafaat asks her brother to know who the victim is, and Mukhtar does not know whether he killed her or not.

Mukhtar wanders in the streets in order not to sleep, and Heriam asks him to sleep while being tied. Karima and Rafaat go to Heriam's house and find Mukhtar. Mukhtar decides to turn himself in.

Mukhtar tries to convince the officer that he committed the crime and Rafaat is thinking of a way to make him go to the mental hospital. The officer tells Mukhtar that he has found the real murderer.

The officer sets a plan with Mukhtar to catch the killer. Mukhtar claims that he was released on bail and takes Safwat to the crime scene. The police catch Safwat who confesses his crimes.
