Malek is a married doctor whose wife is pregnant. They live happily with his parents and are preparing their own house. As Malek treats a girl named Khadija, he loves her a lot and always buys her gifts, but when she dies, he grieves for her.

The girl awakens from death, and her mother rejoices. Malek decides to perform a tumor removal surgery for her at the urging of his attending physician. Malek's father tries to give Feriel money to buy the new house, but she refuses because Malek will not accept anyone's help.

Feriel takes the money and goes to the real estate company to complete the purchase of the house without telling Malek. On her way back, she takes a taxi, and the driver stops at the gas station and goes out to smoke, during which two men attack the station, steal the car, and run away.

Feriel dies in the car accident after she goes into labor, and she is accompanied by the girl who helped her give birth. Malek goes to the real estate agency and learns that Feriel has paid for the apartment. Khadija, the young girl, awakens after the surgery.

As Malek grieves a lot for his wife and has become unsteady in his work, the doctors unanimously agree that he should take a break, while his parents worry about him. The real estate agency owner's wife asks him to give her the money he took from Feriel because no one knows anything about it.

As Malek's condition deteriorates, his mother calls his brother who is in the capital to complain to him, so he comes to visit Malek and asks him to go live with him, whereupon Malek visits his wife's grave, after which he travels and is received by his nephews at the train station.

Malek feels somewhat satisfied in his brother's house as he goes with him to the shop. His brother decides to go to the municipality to give Malek his share of the inheritance as his father requested. Malek meets an old friend at the neighborhood hospital, who suggests that he work with him there.

Malek works in the hospital after he quarrels with his brother, Omar, as he doesn't want to work with him in the shop, while Omar's wife tries to patch things up between them. Malek examines a patient in the hospital, where he meets her cousin and reassures her that he will take care of her.

As the patient miraculously awakens from the coma, Nassima thanks Malek for his efforts with her cousin. She also becomes his friend and goes out with him, upon which he tells her his story and how his wife died while she was pregnant. Omar suggests to Malek to remarry, but he refuses.

As Hanane awakens from the coma, she recalls what happened in the taxi and how Feriel gave birth to a girl, about whom she asks Nassima, who decides to take her out of the hospital, even though Malek hasn't allowed her to. Malek visits his parents and is in a better condition than before, which gladdens them.

Hanane remembers when Feriel gave birth in the taxi and that a man took the baby girl and ran away when Feriel passed away, but Nassima warns her not to tell Malek anything because she will marry him. Malek gets angry because Hanane leaves the hospital, while Malek is still reluctant to marry.

The taxi driver goes to Hanane to kill her, but she convinces him to turn himself in to the police, and there, he meets with the inspector, who takes Malek to hear from him, upon which Malek learns that his daughter is alive. Nassima slips a sleeping pill for Hanane, but she does not take it.

The inspector looks for Masoud, the main culprit in Feriel's murder. Nassima decides to put Hanane in a mental hospital and asks the psychiatrist to sign. On the day of her engagement to Malek, Hanane tries to escape from the house, while the maid leaves her to do so because she took pity on her.

Malek meets Hanane, who is about to escape in front of the house, and she tells him everything about Nassima, so he takes her to Nassima, where her family is to complete the engagement. He tells everyone the truth and takes Hanane to his brother Omar's house. The inspector looks for the little girl.

The inspector learns that the girl was raised by a woman named Hajja Khaira, so he and Malek go to search for her in the countryside, but they find nothing. The inspector tries to go to the civil registry to know on which day the girl was registered in the woman’s name.

The inspector tells Malek that his daughter passed away as he found in the civil registry a death certificate in her name. However, the investigation has proven that there is ambiguity in the name and that they made a mistake. Hanane stays in a mental hospital after Nassima proves that she is deranged.

After Safiya gets angry because Nassima took Hanane to the mental hospital, she informs Malek, who goes to help her. Malek finally meets his daughter, tries to talk to her and tell her the truth, but the girl rejects him.

Smaïl is arrested after the inspector ambushed him as he tried to kill his partner, who confessed to Feriel's murder. Malek saves Hanane from the doctor while performing brain surgery on her at Nassima's request. Malek manages to take his daughter and bring her back to his brother Omar's house.

Smaïl escapes and heads to Malek's house, where Hanane is with the little girl after Malek left them to go to the police station when he learned of the criminal's escape. Hanane tries to protect Amal and asks her to escape and leave her. As Smaïl's partner defends Hanane, he quarrels with him.

Hanane and Amal try to escape, but Smaïl threatens everyone with a pistol and takes them in the car. The policemen are able to catch him and free them. Malek chases Smaïl to kill him, but the inspector stops him. Malek visits Feriel's grave with his daughter, after which he decides to marry Hanane.
