Latifa and Abu Maitha (Maitha's father) remember their love since they were young, and how Abu Maitha wanted to ask for her hand but his brother Manawer fought him, and how his stepfather, Abu Manawer (Manawer's father), treated him.
Abu Manawer asks for Latifa's hand for his son Manawer. As the years pass, Latifa, Manawer, and his brother grow up and have families. Ahmed, Manawer's son, looks forward to marrying his cousin Maitha. Awatef discovers her husband's marriage to another.

When Maitha tells her father that someone wants to propose to her, he thinks that it's Ahmed and prevents her from leaving. Ahmed agrees to his father's wish to marry Sarah.
As Umm Sa'ad (Sa'ad's mother) asks for Maitha's hand, her mother rejects them for their poverty, as does her father, who is surprised by Ahmed attacking him when he thinks he agreed to wed her to Sa'ad, the shepherd.
As Abdul Mohsen's uncle tries to convince him to accept Sa'ad and Maitha's marriage, Ahmed continues to threaten to exact revenge on his uncle Abdul Mohsen if he agrees to the marriage.
As Ahmed tells his mother that he does not want to wed Sarah, Abdul Mohsen finally agrees to Sa'ad and asks him to stop being a shepherd. Awatef is surprised by her husband when he brings his ex-wife home to stay with her.
As Abu Misfer (Misfer's father) decides to build a house next to the house of Manawer, Umm Maitha gets angry and leaves the house. Umm Misha'an (Misha'an's mother) blames Maitha for agreeing to get engaged to a shepherd.
Manawer insists on returning his daughter Awatef to her husband's house. Ahmed's wedding takes place against his will. Maitha is getting ready to marry Sa'ad.
