When Bahloul's constant anxiety prompts him to flee during a police patrol, the police become suspicious that he might have committed a crime. But when he's arrested and interrogated, his innocence is proven.
When Bahloul mistakenly injures his stepfather, he thinks he killed him and flees the village in terror. As the police find Bahloul's garments in the wilderness, they believe he has been devoured by wolves.
As Bahloul arrives at a new village, Nemr's father helps him and offers him shelter. Meanwhile, Kamel suggests that Abu Sa'ad (Sa'ad's father) should marry Naglaa.
Bahloul moves to Abu Sa'ad's house, and all the villagers take him for a chivalrous and valiant man. Yassin suspects that Soha and Bahloul are having an affair.
Soha tries to persuade Bahloul to stay with them to offer them protection. Kamel grows fearful that if Bahloul leaves, Sattouf will get back at him and seize his properties once more.
Upon realizing that Soha is enamored with Bahloul, Yassin steps back. Meanwhile, Bahloul and Sattouf set out to hunt down the wolf that has been attacking the livestock of the village, but their mission goes awry.
Bahloul accuses Sattouf of standing in his way and deliberately ruining the wolf hunt-down. Despite being ill, Bahloul manages to save the village from thieves.
When the wolf attacks the village again, Kamel and Abu Sa'ad set out to hunt it, and the villagers enlist Bahloul to rid them of it once and for all.
The villagers pay no heed to Yassin who tells them that Bahloul is a Quixote with no true valiant victories. As Yassin attacks Bahloul to make a point, Sattouf rescues him.
Abu Sa'ad asks Kamel to help him marry Naglaa and promises to help him marry Sou'ad in exchange. Abu Al-Layl and Abu Al-Ra'ad learn that Bahloul might be implicated in a murder back in his home village.
Bahloul demands that the villagers volunteer to help him hunt down the wolf. He gets them started on military exercises to stave off the predatory animal.
Bahloul devises a plan to hunt the wolf with the help of his team. The women of the village complain since their husbands stay home for fear of the wolf. Bahloul manages to banish the wolf.
With the wolf gone away, Bahloul becomes popular with the people as a savior. To retaliate on Soha, Yassin decides to wed someone else other than her.
Yassin devises a plot to show the true coward that Bahloul is, but his plot is thwarted when the villagers wake up to the news that Bahloul killed the wolf.
The villagers assemble to figure a way to send Bahloul back to his village, fearing the two villages might get into war because of him. However, as Bahloul's stepfather shows up, Bahloul is relieved to learn he hasn't killed anyone.
Naglaa refuses to leave Salem for Abu Sa'ad. As a different wolf arrives in the village and attacks Yassin, Bahloul saves Yassin's life by killing the wolf. Bahloul then decides to return home, a brand new, courageous him.
