Shahira offers Shawkat to work with her, introducing him to her partners Masoud and Salem, and he discovers their trade in smuggled goods.

Shawkat agrees with Shahira and Masoud on the delivery date of the goods and tries to trick his friend, Officer Jaber, into leaving the checkpoint at the time of delivery, but the police arrest Shawkat and imprison him, and Jaber is fired from his job.

A quarrel breaks out between Shawkat and the criminal Sakhr inside the prison as the latter attempts to impose his power. He meets the prisoner Abu Osama and Jaber asks Shahira and Masoud to compensate him for losing his job by working with them.

Shawkat provides assistance to prisoners in completing their studies and organizes reading workshops. On the other hand, Jaber discovers that Shahira is preparing for a major diamond smuggling deal.

Abu Osama dies in prison, his daughter Salma works as a secretary for Maamoun, and his son Osama is a lawyer at Munif’s office. Shawkat is released after serving his sentence, and his children grow up and enter university.

Shawkat is still looking for work, and Osama suggests to his mother that his sister should marry his friend Jalal, and Osama meets Shawkat's daughter, Iman.

Shahira and Masoud return to call Shawkat and persuade him to work with them again. Masoud informs him of Jaber’s car accident and his death. Osama’s relationship with Iman and Jalal's with Salma strengthen.

Shawkat's wife, Sanaa, objects to him returning to work with Masoud. Maamoun tries to get closer to Salma, and Osama asks Iman to marry him.

Shawkat holds a big party in his new house, inviting Munif and Jalal to it, and Shahira agrees with Masoud not to appear noticeably in Shawkat's new project.

Shawkat meets Osama and discovers that he is his friend's son. Iman asks Osama to formally propose marriage to her. After Sakhr is released from prison, Shawkat agrees to employ him in his project. Hamed informs Shawkat that there are violations in the project.

Masoud bribes Sakhr's assistant to ignore what is happening. Hamed is killed by being pushed from the top of the building, and Inspector Talaat takes over the investigation.

Shawkat hires Salma in his company, and the former quarrels with Shahira, tells her what is happening in the project, and seeks to incite Salem against Masoud.

Salma helps her brother Osama financially to propose to Iman, and Osama discovers that Iman's father was his father's fellow inmate in prison and asks Jalal to find out the reason for his imprisonment.

Shawkat asks Judge Sharif to take over his company’s case, and the former informs Shahira that he has been subjected to an attempted murder. Osama proposes to Iman officially, and Masoud tells Shahira and Salem that he suspects that Jaber is still alive.

Shahira reports the theft to the police. Talaat continues to investigate the circumstances of the case and interrogates Shawkat. The latter is taken to the hospital after construction materials fall on him at the project site.

Shawkat asks Jalal to collect information about Jaber if he is alive. Sharif takes over Shawkat's company's case and interrogates Salem. Shahira tells Masoud that someone is monitoring her.

Masoud receives a message from Jaber, confirming that he is still alive. Shawkat informs his wife that there is someone watching him all the time.

Masoud tells Shahira that Jaber threatened him and blackmailed him financially. Sharif interrogates Shawkat and the former asks Osama to step down from the case due to the sensitivity of his engagement to Shawkat's daughter.

Iman asks her father to break up his partnership with Shahira in order to satisfy her mother. An argument breaks out between Masoud and Shahira, and he threatens to expose her illegal dealings with the Pasha.

Shahira accuses Masoud of trying to kill her, and it becomes clear that Shahira is married to Munif and that he is the Pasha. Masoud, in collaboration with Talaat, records Munif and Shahira’s confession of working with Jaber and Masoud in illegal trade.
