As the villagers are surprised that the plants are watered without anyone doing this, Salman tries to convince them that there are jinns behind it. Salem saves Hamda from drowning, as she believes that her brother is at sea. Suhaila is waiting for Khamis to return to buy the town's lands with him.
Khamis returns from travel and invites everyone to eat at their house, but Salman and Abu Fadil refuse, and the latter is upset that he cannot buy the horses he wants.
Khamis offers to help Salman find his son. Salem confesses his love to Bodour. The people meet with the town judge and express their dissatisfaction with Khamis for selling the crop before them.
Salman is worried that he will not be able to sell his crop before Khamis. Umm Salem (Salem's mother) tells her son about Hamda's story after her brother drowned.
Khamis is looking to buy Khalifa's land, and Suhaila hints to Bodour about Khamis' desire to marry her.
A big fire breaks out in Abu Salem's house, burning all Umm Salem's preparations for her son's marriage. Khamis offers Abu Salem (Salem's father) his help, but the latter refuses.
As Khamis meets Bodour, he asks his assistant to gather information about her. At the same time, Salem tells his father that he wants to travel and look for any other work.
Khamis is surprised by the disappearance of his horse, which Abu Fadil finds and takes. Salem bids Bodour goodbye and travels.

Khamis agrees with Suhaila to keep Saeed away from Bodour, and Fatima tells Bodour of her dissatisfaction with her family's approval of her marriage to Jasir.
Rashid asks Salem to claim his death, and tells him not to return to the village. Khamis begins to get closer to Khalifa so that he would agree to his marriage to Bodour later on.

Khalifa tells his daughter Bodour about his desire to leave the village, while Khamis pushes him to sign contracts to give up his property without him knowing due to his illiteracy.
Aboud goes away, leaving his wife Suhaila alone in the village. Khamis asks Khalifa to convince the rest of the people to sell their land to him.
Suhaila tells Khamis about the dispute between Abu Salem and Khalifa, who refuses Salem's marriage to his daughter, and Salem is seriously injured in the foot.
Khamis avoids meeting Khalifa, who worries about his money. As a masked person kills Khalifa, Abu Salem is accused of killing him, because of their previous dispute.

As Aboud meets Salem and heals his foot, he agrees with him to return to the village.
The judge asks Bodour to hand over her father's property, while Suhaila advises Khamis to propose to Bodour, taking advantage of her need for money.
Abu Salem asks Khamis to buy his land because he needs the money, and decides to travel and leave the village.
Abu Salem leaves his wife in the village, and Khamis reveals to the villagers that he owns everything.
Khamis demands that Bodour pay all her father's debts. Hamda reveals her hidden secret of marrying Khamis, and having his child and Khalifa's helping her, and that his daughter Bodour is the daughter of Khamis and Hamda, and Salem returns to the village.
