Ghassan's wife Maha returns from Brazil to Syria and is welcomed by her brother-in-law, Gamil, whom she asks to find her a house to buy, however, she finds an abandoned house which she loves and buys.
Maha asks the gatekeeper of the house to tear down a wall, thinking there's a room behind it. However, she finds a fireplace containing a young girl's clothes, and suspects the house hides a mysterious secret.
Ghassan returns from abroad. Meanwhile, Maha goes to a psychiatrist and tells him she has visions of a woman's corpse inside of the house she recently bought.
Maha discovers she lived in the house long ago with her father and stepmother Hala, whom she suspects has been killed in it. Ghassan suspects Maha's father was involved in murdering his wife and hiding her body inside the house.
Maha and Ghassan go to Dr. Azmi, Hala's brother, and ask him about his relationship with Maha's father and about the disappearance of Hala and why he never searched for her. His answers make them suspect he was involved in the crime as well.
Azmi finds a letter inside the villa claiming it's in Hala's handwriting, which reads that she had taken a life-changing decision and asks her husband to have patience for what she will do.
Maha goes to the villa and imagines the murder and is convinced that Azmi is involved in his sister's murder. She decides to do a background check on him and his professional history.
Maha tells Ghassan about her suspicions towards Azmi and he believes her. Ghassan asks his brother Gamil to help him solve the mystery of Hala's murder.
Maha and Ghassan search for Hassan, Hala's old love. Hassan tells them that Abu Ziad used to visit Hala behind her husband's back.
Gamil decides to help his brother Ghassan solve the murder and begins following Azmi and his wife. Maha's suspicion in Azmi rises after Hassan tells her about his evildoing.
Gamil tells Maha and Ghassan that Hala's murder grabbed the attention of many people in the community, especially since it happened over 20 years ago without anyone addressing her disappearance.
Hala visits Maha in a dream and tells her not to stop searching for her killer and that she'll find her body in the villa. She gives her a clue that will help her uncover the truth about the crime.
Maha decides not to give up and to search for Hala's killer and her body once again. She seeks the help of the man Hala met and fell for years ago.
Maha is furious after she finds the woman who was supposed to tell her the truth murdered in her apartment. Gamil tells Ghassan that he suspects that Azmi is behind the murder of that woman, Ragaa Hussein, too.
Maha dreams of all the women who were killed during her journey of searching for Hala's killer, and they tell her they've died in vain. Hala then appears again and begs her not to stop searching for her killer and her body.
Azmi learns that Maha is alone in the villa and decides to go kill her. Azmi confesses to her that he killed his sister and will kill Maha too, however, the police come and arrest him.
Azmi confesses the details of Hala's murder and tells them he killed her and wrote a letter in her handwriting so her husband will suspect her. He is sentenced to institutionalization since he is declared mentally insane.
