After spending five years in jail, Abdo Hatata is finally released. As Major Ali asks sergeant Tulba to accompany him on a mission to search out for criminals, he asks him to fit out a strong horse other than the horse, Antar.

As the doctor decides to put the horse, Antar, down, Tulba breaks down on hearing the news and asks the prison warden to buy Antar, as well as selling his land and settling his pension to buy it.

Tulba travels to the countryside and asks his brother to sell his land so he can buy the horse, Antar, as a result of which Shalabi gets mad after he learns the matter and goes to tell Tulba's daughters.

Sergeant Tulba decides to steal the horse, Antar, and takes it to his ex-sweetheart, Jalila, so that he stays with her by informing her that he is on a mission.

The police assign Bishr to search for sergeant Tulba, who calls his friend, Dardiri, to tell him that he wants to cede his properties in exchange for buying the horse, Antar, as well as informing the prison warden.

Bishr pardons Tulba and tells him that he will not arrest him and let him go, but will report him to the police as soon as he is gone. Tulba's daughters go to the warden to beg him, but he rebuffs them and tells them that their father will be arrested.

Sergeant Tulba runs away and turns to Neamat so that he and the horse, Antar, shelter at her house after the police chase him.

Abdo Hatata mediates with the prison warden in order to release Jalila out of the police station after she is interrogated in the hiding of Tulba at her place. Tulba leaves Antar with Neamat and colludes with a friend of his to sneak out with the horse.

Tulba goes to his friend, Ramadan, and tells him the full story and asks to help him with escaping with his horse, Antar, and subsequently Ramadan agrees to his friend's request.

Tulba travels to see his daughters, who apologize to their father and tell him that if they have known how much he loves Antar, they would have agreed to sell the land in return for buying Antar.

The horse, Antar, refuses to eat and drink while Tulba is absent. Tulba and Jalila agree on a plan that will enable Fatouh to come with Antar. The doctor examines the horse and tells Tulba that he is very sick.

The horse, Antar, unites itself and runs after Antar to catch up with him, after the doctor convinced Tulba to leave it to receive treatment. Tulba takes Antar to the coast in Kafr El Sheikh in order to flee with him sneaking in through the sea.

As sergeant Tulba spots El Hawari while planning a new contraband shipment, he takes Antar along with him to report him to the warden, only for Antar to die half way and is buried by Tulba, who breaks down in grief. Tulba arrests Abdo Hatata, while the police arrest his men.
