As Adham kills Selim's father, Selim decides to avenge his father. Al-Mukhtar family celebrate what happened. Adham tells his father that he wants to leave the family and that he hates murder and revenge. Kassim, who works for the Agha Mukhtar, plans with Selim's assistant to kill Mukhtar.

When Kassim's wife tells the Agha that she found a lot of money with her husband, he tells her to tell Kassim that he found out about his betrayal. The papers publish the news about Adam killing Selim and his assistant, and Ward's mother gets upset.

Officer Salem tries to obtain any information from Karim about his brother Adam and his whereabouts, but Hazim stops him. It's falsely announced that Kassim has died, so he can escape from those who are after him. The Agha is upset that the oil trade is slow after Selim monopolizes the market.

Ward goes to his wife to bring her home. Adam sneaks out and goes to a nightclub, and Ward tries to find him. Selim confirms that Kassim is still alive.

Mukhtar asks the police to protect him after a failed assassination attempt. Selim tells Hemdan to kill Ward and his kids. He captures Sohila and her son Mukhtar Jr., and kills her in front of him. Mukhtar Jr. escapes and Kassim finds him. Hemdan decides to help Mukhtar Jr. get to his grandfather.

Ward tells his brother Karim to refer to him so he can protect him and the family, but Karim quarrels with him and their third brother, Hazim. Ward suspects Dr. Barakat who treats the Agha Mukhtar. The doctor tries to kill the Agha but Ward stops him.

Karim tries to kill himself. Ward's wife asks him to come while he's with his mistress. Officer Salem is about to catch Adam but he narrowly evades capture.

Adam hides in a small village. Tala's father tells Adam's mother that he has to take his daughter away to keep her from Adam. Adam starts working in the village using a different name.

Hazim rescues Tala from a guy after she gets drunk at a nightclub. Adam falls for the daughter of the owner of the hotel where he works. Hazim remembers when his wife left him.

Adam's mother gathers the family and asks them to stay strong. She sends a message to Adam telling him to hold on. Adam tries to get close to the daughter of the hotel owner, Elia.

Mukhtar resents Rafik's greed and tyranny. He wants to report him to the police but the officer advises him not to. Mukhtar gets close to the singer Wafaa.

Amal escapes from her stepfather, and goes to Wafaa who lets her work for her. Amal finds out that Wafaa and Mukhtar are together.

Mukhtar has a fever, and Wafaa and her uncle take care of him, while Amal suffers from her love for Mukhtar.

Amal tells Wafaa that she loves Mukhtar. Wafaa goes to Amal's stepfather and tells him to take her back. Rafik's men attack Mukhtar's uncle at the market.

Amal's stepfather tries to assault her, she escapes and works in a monastery. Rafik falsely claims that the singer Wafaa is corrupting young people and spreading immorality in the region.

Back in the present time, Lamis fights with her husband. Lina's husband discovers her relationship with Ward.

The judge dismisses the lawsuit filed by police officer Selim against Hazim and his family. Ward's wife tells his mother that she can't get pregnant. Lina and Ward have a fight.

Ward and Hazim tell their father that their enemies have increased. Adam finds out that Tala and her father have left the house, while he gets closer with Elia.

Mukhtar's brother is worried that Ward will be in charge of the business after his father and tells his daughter, Ruba about it. The hotel owner's nephew threatens Elia that he will demand his loan from her father if she doesn't wed him. Tala is shocked after learning that her father has cancer.

Mukhtar insists on bringing Adam back home and asks his wife, Amal, to help him do it. In a flashback, it's revealed that Hazim is not Mukhtar's son but he took care of him after his father died. Also his wife, Amal, gave birth to twins: Wafaa and Lamis.

Amal stands by Mukhtar's side in their difficult times. Gamal's father dies and Mukhtar tries to help him escape from Rafik's men who are looking for him. Mukhtar and Gamal avenge his father's death.

Mukhtar tries to mediate for Gamal and asks Rafik to take the store in exchange for letting Gamal go. Amal heads to the Nun Lamis and informs her of their severe crisis. Mukhtar's financial situation gets worse.

Mukhtar does a smuggling operation with Rashid and Gamal but hides it from Amal. He starts making suspicious deals with the police to find out the route of the police patrols.

Mukhtar kills Rafik and tries to stay out of sight of the police. The police chief thanks him for what he did and the whole town starts treating him differently. The police chief releases Rashid and Mahran.

Mukhtar handles the problems with the market traders with his usual intelligence, while Rashid starts inciting his enemies against him. The policeman Zaki is promoted to department head as Mukhtar promised him.

Rashid plots with a gang to kill Mukhtar, but Mukhtar survives. Rashid gets arrested and Mukhtar refuses to kill him and lets him go. Mukhtar becomes the leader of the market.

Mukhtar goes to the hospital where Selim lies and threatens to kill him. Back in the present, Adam asks Lya if she really wants to marry Ra'ed and they escape together. Tala is sad after her father passes away.

Mukhtar meets with his friends Al-Deeb, Gamal and Mahran to discuss the arms situation, and he tells them that his son Adam will take over for him. Ward discusses some projects with Mukhtar's enemy, Rashid, without his father's knowledge. Lamis's husband steals her jewelry.

Reem's uncle and father attack Adam's house to take her with them, but Shaker's father interferes and fights with them. Ward tells his men that he's the one in charge. Ward finds that his wife Tala is pregnant. Reem discovers that Adam is Mukhtar's son. Lya is pregnant by her husband, Gamal.

Maryam returns to her father's house and her cousin, Ragheb, tries to attack her but Adam and his friend threaten him and burn his face. Tala's manager at work wants to marry her. Ward finds out that Lamis's husband assaulted her again, and he teaches him a lesson.
