Zabiya gets possessed by a ghost. Abu Bekheit (Bekheit's father) passes away. As Abu Shehab (Shehab's father) disappears, Noura remains confident that he is still alive.
As Ahmed quarrels with Badr and Seif, Saqr tries to bring the tension down. The masked man reappears after 10 years. The English police arrive in town.
Saleh returns to the village with his nieces, Sara and Hamda. Muftah agrees to give the coffee shop back to Abdel Rahim's son. Abu Saqr (Saqr's father) asks Ahmed to drop the charges against Badr.
Abu Badr (Badr's father) asks Bekehit to run his shop. Yakout breaks out of prison. Abu Badr asks for Muftah's help to bring his son back to the village. Amna asks her daughter-in-law to have children.
Muftah convinces Ahmed to go back home. Badr returns to his father. Abu Saqr falls for Hamda. The police search all the houses in the village for Yakout.
Saqr catches feelings for Sara. As Abu Shehab returns to the village, he informs Bekheit that his father had another wife. Seif is shocked when Zabiya's ghost gives him a warning and pushes him away from Zabiya. Everyone is shocked when Abu Bekheit returns.
Ahmed meets Mary and catches feelings for her. Amna asks Seif to take another wife so that he could have children. As Abu Shehab looks for Muftah, he refuses to reconcile with Abu Saqr.
Abu Ahmed (Ahmed's father) quarrels with Abu Saqr over Zabiya. The police arrest Shehab after mistaking him for Yakout. Noura looks for Shehab.
When they are fired from their jobs with the police, Mas'oud and Sa'eid start working at the coffee shop. Abu Saqr takes back his house and reveals his wish to get married. The English police start to infiltrate the people's ranks.
Chief Amna asks her son Seif to marry Dana. Abu Shehab demands his farm and house back from Muftah.
The chief asks for Dana's hand for her son, Seif. Abu Saleh admonishes Sara over her relationship with Saqr. Mayed tells the chief that he has met the masked Yakout.
Muftah is shocked when the pearls get stolen. Abu Saqr asks for Dana's hand for his son Saqr, only to be surprised when he learns that she has gotten engaged to Seif. Abu Saqr proposes to Hama.
Al-Mo'tared asks Abu Shehab to have Yakout work with them, but Abu Shehab objects. Abu Shehab tells Abu Ahmed that Muftah has robbed Luluah before and bargains with Muftah to get him to give his house back.
Bekheit quarrels with Saqr and asks him to stay away from Noura. Ahmed meets with the revolutionary youth to plot against the English.
Yakout kills an English officer. Muftah asks to wed Sara.
The revolutionary youth issues a warning for Sa'eid, who is dealing with the English officers. Abu Shehab makes a deal with Rajash regarding trips to India for trade. Badr quarrels with his son over the latter's wish to reconcile with his ex-wife, Noura.
As Yakout escapes, the English forces start looking for them with Muftah's help. Bekheit admonishes Nour for maintaining her relationship with Saqr. Khamis starts working with the English officers.
Rajash agrees to ally with Abu Shehab against Abu Badr. Dana agrees to wed Seif. Saqr is saddened when Sara gets engaged to Muftah. Seif, Abu Saqr, and Muftah hold their weddings on the same day.
When the masked man attacks Saqr, Seif saves him. The chief passes away. Bekheit believes that Saqr has died after he refuses to save him.
As Yakout is saddened by the chief's death, the English officer refuses to arrest Yakout during her funeral. Abu Saqr blames Abu Shehab for what happened to Saqr.
Abu Badr grows upset when Abu Shehab opens a shop beside his own to compete with him. Ahmed confesses his love for Mary. Yakout enlists Muftah's help to escape the English forces.
Yakout forces the new village chief to host him at his house. The English forces torture Al-Mo'tared in prison to get him to divulge Yakout's location.
Saqr asks Seif to take Zaibya back home. Abu Bekheit proposes to Aubaida. Dana tells Seif about his brother Mayed's frequent absence from the house.
Abu Shehab asks Musbah to inform Bekheit of Noura and Saqr's relationship. Abu Badr passes away from sadness after Abu Shehab seizes control of his business. Abu Fahd informs Yakout that the English officer will be transferred in three days unless he catches Yakout.
Ahmed and Saqr agree to smuggle Yakout out of the village. Abu Shehab reports his son-in-law to the police and forces Bekheit to divorce his daughter, Noura.
As WWII breaks out, Khamas asks Abu Fahd to turn Yakout in. Abu Shehab refuses to allow Noura to drop the charges against Bekheit to secure his release.
Seif reconciles with Zabiya and asks her to come back home, which gives rise to quarrels between Zabiya and Dana. Sara grows fed up with Muftah's constant suspicion of her.
Umm Badr (Badr's mother) asks Abu Shehab to mediate to get her son released from prison. When Abu Shehab refuses her request, she threatens to sell her shop to Muftah. As the shop burns down, Abu Shehab gets accused of being behind it.
Abu Saqr suspects that Muftah is the one who burned down Abu Badr's shop. Sara leaves Muftah's house and asks Abu Saqr to protect her from him. As Ahmed asks for Mary's hand, his parents oppose the marriage.
Dana informs Seif that she is pregnant. Mosbah plots with Abu Shehab to bring Muftah down. Badr gets released from prison. Adam tells Ahmed that Robert also wants to wed Mary. Saqr discovers that Mayed has joined the resistance.
