Al-Safia is in love with Al-Hussein; he's making money so that they can get married next summer. Hussein's cousin comes from Paris with her daughter and stays in the alley. When Safia's neighbor offers her a job in an advertising company, she declines.
Safia goes with Hussein to the municipality to register the apartment in their names. She becomes angry when she sees Hussein talking to a foreign woman and helping her to ride a camel.
Safia goes to the Real Estate Office to pay taxes for the building since she's one of the heirs. When Hussein goes to the building to talk with the residents, he goes to the barber's house and when Safia finds out, she gets angry and goes home with her neighbor on his motorcycle.
Fati invites Safia and Hussein for lunch and tries to reconcile them. Hussein discovers that the building is also registered in the name of a Spanish guy, and he cannot dispose of it unless he finds him.
Safia marries Hussein and lives with him in his house across from the sea. Hussein works in beekeeping and selling honey. While Hussein is out, some men who are waiting for the boat that they will take them to Spain come to the house.

When Hussein falls and breaks his leg, he goes to the hospital; Safia takes care of him, and all the people of the alley visit him. After Hussein returns to the house, he's visited by Selim with his wife Fati and his father.
When Hussein attends a conference in the city about beekeeping and the quality of honey, one of the attendees decides to partner with Hussein because of his honesty; he asks him to take care of his bee houses and divide the profit together. Safia is pregnant.
Hussein and his friend go to his mother's house to give him two rooms for his bee project. When Hussein returns to the house, he finds five people buried in his land. He goes with Safia to the mayor to tell him that the land is private and can't be used as a cemetery.
Hussein collects his belongings and puts it in the truck after he decides to leave the estate and go to his uncle's house. Safia gives birth to a son on the way, and Hussein is delighted.
After Safia and Hussein reside in the house of Bashu'aib, Safia can't stand his wife and mother. She asks Hussein to move immediately and go to the house of his foreign partner's mother. Hussein takes his wife and they go there.
Hussein organizes the house and puts a sign with his name on it. Safia leaves her son to Hussein and goes out. She meets a French girl who offers to work with her as a seamstress and teaches her how to coordinate colors from nature.
Safia dyes fabrics and then sews it and her friend sells it. She becomes a professional businesswoman just as her son Hakim is growing up. Hussein is developing the honey trade and he also learns to read and write.
Safia decides to turn the house into a restaurant for Moroccan food, especially since the region has many Spanish tourists. She hires a cook and maid, and the restaurant is a success, as the tourists frequent it and admire the food.
Josine goes to Hussein's house after he turned it into a hotel. After a young man in the area carries her bag, he kidnaps Josine and asks her to marry him to take him to France. Naziha, the racing champion, also goes to the hotel because she has a race in Casablanca.
Josine manages to escape through one of the fishermen, and she tells Safia and Hussein. Hakim, Hussein's son, steals a device from Naziha’s room that cuts off all communications. The police come to investigate Naziha. When Hussein finds out, he punishes his son.
Safia works in advertisements with a director named Ali who's spending some time at the hotel, which makes Hussein very jealous. Safia quarrels with the cook and fires him. Hakim goes to the doctor, but he gets better.
When Bashu'aib asks Hussein to receive two poor families in the hotel until the mayor provides them with housing, Hussein agrees. But the family members make a big mess in the rooms and the kitchen, which drives Safia mad. A robbery takes place in the hotel.
Hussein finds the stolen Canadian woman's ring and tells her he will find the thief. The two families leave the hotel in miserable conditions after messing things up. Hussein returns to study in an adult class.
Hussein asks his friend to search for a tourist group for the hotel, and a group of tourists comes and Safia offers them hot couscous. Everyone likes the food and the hotel, but Safia falls sick and feels her temperature is rising.
Josine's friend comes from France for two days, and leaves his girlfriend some luggage. A famous singer books the hotel through her business manager who gives a handsome amount of money to Hussein.
A popular singer comes to the hotel with her assistant and rehearses the new song. Sophia offers the singer food but she refuses because she's on a diet. Bashu'aib asks Hussein to enter the hotel to watch the match together, but he refuses because the hotel is all booked.
Safia and Hussein's condition worsens because of the accumulated taxes. Safia tries to sell some clothes, but the shop owner tries to trick her. When she tells her husband, he calls the police and they return the clothes.
Safia travels with her husband and son to the city to visit her mother. Hussein goes to the market and meets the cook who worked with them in the hotel, but he's now a merchant.
On their way back home, Hussein and his wife face many problems on the road, as the car tire is flat, a policeman takes them to the station and the car is seized. Hussein calls the lawyer to intervene and they are released.
Resuming their mishaps back home, the car breaks down again, forcing Hussein, his wife, and the driver to stay overnight in a hotel which is very bad. When Safia faints, her husband takes her to the hospital, as he doesn't know what's wrong with her.
The doctor tells Safia that she is tired due to travel, while Hussein wants to donate his kidney to his wife, thinking that she is sick. Safia stops him at the last moment and takes him out of the operating room. Hussein and Safia visit their friend Aisha in her new home.
Safia goes to get some spices from Aisha's neighbor, but the woman closes the door in her face. Safia calls Hakim and her mother via Skype and she's very happy with him. Safia meets with a Chinese man to work together in the field of traditional industries.
When Safia goes shopping with Aisha, she buys a quantity of soap. When she returns home, an idea comes to Hussein to set up a public bath for men. He invites his neighbor to try it out. But when his wife finds out, she quarrels with him and Safia.
When Safia decides to complete her studies to pass the exams, Hussein feels jealous of her. He prepares to set up his project and goes to the shop rental office and asks him for a suitable place, but the rent is too high.
Hussein rents the shop and starts making combs. One of the customers admires him, but he tells her that he's married. Safia asks her mother to send her the high school diploma, as she's preparing to pass the baccalaureate.
Safia passes the baccalaureate exam for the first time. When she returns home, she begins to sing with Ali. But on the day the results appear, Safia doesn't find her name, she starts crying and feels like a failure.
When Hussein invites his neighbor to lunch after his wife travels, he insists that Safia eats with them. As the cook visits them, he asks Hussein to help him get his wife back, so Hussein and Safia decide to return to the alley.
Safia goes with the cook to his wife's house to reconcile them. When a misunderstanding occurs between the cook and Hussein, Safia gets angry so she decides to leave, even though the cook asks for forgiveness.
The cook quarrels with his brother-in-law because he wants to have his hair cut. Safia returns home and meets her son Hakim, who is angry at his father for not buying him a phone. When Safia's mother is hospitalized, Hussein and Safia visit her.
When Hussein meets a writer, he helps her to find colorful places to photograph and write her stories. She offers him to become her photographer, but he declines because he wants to do his own project.
Hussein works with the woman as a model for the colorful Moroccan fashion as she photographs him, and they go out to the desert together. When the cook sees them, he tells Safia, who quarrels with Hussein and hits him.
Safia leaves her husband's house and returns to her mother's. Safia goes to court to ask for a divorce; she waives all her rights, and the judge grants her divorce. Safia's mother tells Hussein that Safia is pregnant. Hussein takes a music band and goes to Safia to ask for forgiveness.
Safia returns to Hussein, and they do a cow breeding project to extract milk and cheese, and sell it. The woman writer returns and gives Hussein a copy of the book of pictures and gives him his share of the money, which gets Safia angry as she quarrels with Hussein and hits him.
