Rashid fights against the French occupation, and his sister Ola informs him that Zakaria has given birth to a son. Najla refuses to let Zakaria and his family see the child. Najla tells Ola that the child is not Zakaria’s son but the son of Commander Terry. Ola refuses to help Najla smuggle the child.

Najla is afraid that her son will be killed, so she runs to Terry, but the soldiers shoot her and the child dies, so Terry arrests Ola and charges her with crime for not helping Najla.

Terry is saddened by the killing of his son and asks for Najla's divorce from Zakaria. Rashid learns of Zakaria's weak character, so he asks him to return Najla to the house of obedience.

Zakaria tells his uncle Bahaa of his love for Najla and his desire to return her home despite her infidelity. Ola is released and returns to her home. Terry submits to the Colonel's orders and returns Najla to her home to reduce the demonstrations that pose a threat to France.

Najla is afraid of confrontation, but she is surprised that Zakaria has forgiven her, so she accuses him of being passive and that he did not kill her for fear of Terry, but he decides to treat her badly so that she can feel his presence.

Terry informs his soldiers that there is a dangerous militant in the Bab Idriss hostel who is planning assassinations and smuggling weapons. Najla asks Zakaria to kill her or divorce her, but he refuses. Terry sends Omar to check on Najla at her husband’s house.

Bahaa learns of his sister Badriya's love for Naim even though she is married. Badriya defends herself under the pretext of her marriage to an old man and that she hopes to have children. Najla sends Terry a message of her love for him and her waiting for him to save her from Zakaria.

Shams falsely claims her love for the Colonel, but she relays his news to the revolutionaries. Rashid leaves the hostel because Zakaria pardons his wife. Terry asks Omar to help him kidnap Najla because of his love for her.

Terry sends Omar to Najla to prepare for the kidnapping and to tell her of Terry's love for her. Rashid learns that the French soldiers know about his plan, so he decides to carry out the operation. The Colonel learns of Shams's relationship with Rashid.

While Shams stays up with the Colonel, Rashid and his men go to carry out the plan to kill the French soldiers, but an ambush occurs, the rebels are shot and killed, and Shams is arrested for relaying the news to Rashid.

The Colonel forgives Shams for betraying the French out of love for her, and Shams is happy when she learns that Rashid is alive. Najla asks Zakaria to protect her from her family.

Ola tells her grandfather of her love for Omar, so her grandfather asks to meet him. Najla’s brother learns of his sister’s scandal and tries to kill her, but Zakaria protects her and informs her family of his decision to forgive her.

Zakaria is surprised by Najla's escape from his home, and he does not know that Terry kidnapped her and is torturing her. Zakaria decides to marry Hind, and Rashid tells his family about Shams's help for the revolutionaries against the French.

Ola convinces Zakaria of the possibility that Najla is kidnapped, but Zakaria decides to forget Najla by marrying Hind and sets a date for the wedding.

The Colonel warns Shams that he will not forgive her if she gets involved in another operation against France. Ola asks Shams to find out where Najla is from the Colonel. Najla confesses that she does not love Terry, so he beats and tortures her.

The Colonel frees Najla from Terry, and Shams hides her in her house. The Colonel decides to fire Terry from military life, but the latter goes crazy and shoots the soldiers, and the Colonel kills him.

Zakaria leaves his wife on his wedding day to check on Najla when he learns that she has been kidnapped. The Colonel asks Omar to lie to the French public opinion that there was a militant who killed Terry and two soldiers.

The Colonel stays up late at a nightclub where Shams works as a dancer. Journalist Abdel Qader joins the revolutionaries. Omar leaves the French military and joins the revolutionaries because he is sad that the French killed his uncle.

Ola sends a message to Rashid with Shams, stating that Omar has joined the rebels. Zakaria takes Najla to the hostel of Bab Idriss without his family’s knowledge. For the first time, Najla confesses her love to Zakaria.

Rashid takes Ola to meet Omar and confirm his desire to join the revolutionaries. The Colonel orders to bring Shams by force and tells her that he knows that Rashid is alive and that she is a spy, and he locks her in his house.

After being threatened, Shams agrees to marry the Colonel to protect Rashid and the revolutionaries. Bahia and Badriya are kicked out of her home because of her love for Naim. Rashid asks Omar to help him find Shams.

Izz al-Din's family kills Naim and Badriya mourns for him. Zakaria's wedding to Hind takes place, and Shams marries the Colonel, who promised her not to harm Rashid.

Hind quarrels with Zakaria due to his lack of interest in her and his love for his wife, Najla. The Colonel asks Shams to show her happiness and love for him when Omar comes, so that the latter will tell Rashid of the matter.

Omar informs Rashid of the Colonel's marriage to Shams and that the Colonel is preparing a big party to celebrate it. Rashid decides to go to the party in disguise and asks Omar to join the French army in order to help the revolutionaries.

Rashid goes to the party in disguise with the revolutionaries, and they exchange fire with the French. The French arrest Najla because Hind told them about her plan to kill the Colonel, and the latter agrees to let Najla out of prison after Zakaria’s insistence.

The French soldier informs Zakaria that Najla has become insane and has been taken to the hospital. Rashid is saddened by the killing of the rebel Matta at the hands of French soldiers.

Zakaria visits Najla in the hospital, and she tells him that she wanted to travel with Terry to France. Zakaria informs Hind of his decision to forget Najla. Shams saves Najla from the harassment of two Frenchmen and asks to take her out of the hospital on her own responsibility.

The French decide to release the detainees from prison in exchange for the release of the French prisoners held by Rashid. Bahaa tells Badriya that he knows that she is pregnant with Naim's child and that he will inform her family about it, so Badriya flees for fear of her son.

A sudden attack by the French on Rashid and the rebels, along with Omar, in the mountain takes place. The two sides exchange fire, and Abdul Qader dies. Omar is arrested, but his French friend helps him escape.

Zakaria quarrels with Hind and divorces her because she gave his daughter Hala to Najla. He searches for his daughter. Najla is hospitalized and her daughter is placed in an orphanage. Rashid leads a demonstration demanding independence after the decision to arrest the Lebanese president and ministers.

Demonstrations take place to demand the end of the French occupation. The revolutionaries kill Shams. The French government declares the independence of Lebanon. Zakaria finds Hala, his daughter, in the orphanage, and Badriya returns with her son, and her family rejoices.
