Ahmed Effendi Akef is forced to drop out of school to support his family who lived in the Sakakini neighborhood, until World War II intensified and the raids increased, so the family is forced to move to Khan Al-Khalili neighborhood, where Ahmed, who is in his forties, falls in love with his beautiful neighbor Nawal, who is sixteen years old.
