After her husband beats her, Sarah loses her baby and is transferred to the hospital. Her mother, Hanan, opposes her wish for a divorce and insists on taking her back to her husband. Sarah decides to run away and moves in with her sister Nadia, who is estranged from their mother.

Hanan insists that Sarah drops the charges against her husband, but Sarah refuses and gets a divorce. Suliman tells Saleh that his mother is the reason he left the house and kept his distance from them.

Sarah bids Nadia and Saleh farewell before she travels. Umm Nargis tries to convince Umm Saleh (Saleh's mother) to have her son wed after his wife's death. When she learns that her daughter Sarah has left, her husband Abu Saleh (Saleh's father) rebukes her for her cruel treatment of their children.

Nadia enlists her brother Saleh's help to treat her husband abroad, but her father kicks her out of the company. As Abu Saleh loses all his money and dies, Nadia gives birth. Years pass, and the grandchildren grow up. Umm Saleh and her son take over the company's management.

Suliman asks Saleh to convince Hanan to give him a procuration so that he could manage the company. Salwa asks for Hanan's support in the elections.

When Saleh tells Hanan about Suliman's suggestion, she rebukes him and vows revenge on Suliman. Salem and Nasser have a night of debauchery with their friend. When Nadia rebukes her son Salem, he answers rudely.

Bedour tries to convince her husband Fahd to work in his mother's firm, but he refuses and continues with his gambling. Suliman resigns after Hanan gives his position to Saleh. Nasser and Salem do drugs with their friend.

Fahd starts his job at Hanan's company. Dalia meets Hanan but she remains unware that she is her grandmother. When Sahar visits her professor's house, he hits on her. Nouria considers getting engaged to Bouhany.

Hanan informs Saleh that she is going to take part in money laundering. Bouhany asks Saleh for his sister's hand. Nadia is shocked when she learns that her mother wants to buy her house. Fahd and his wife quarrel over his alcoholism.

Bedour leaves Fahd's house. Hanan opposes Nouria and Bouhany's marriage and buys Nadia's house. Suliman decides to host Nadia at his house so that he could get close to Saleh. Dalia discovers that Hanan is her grandmother and learns the reason for her estrangement.

Fahd and Saleh quarrel after the former comes onto the secretary. Saleh is shocked when he learns that Hanan kicked his sister Nadia and her children out of the house, leaving them to move in with Suliman.

Yacoub continues to encourage Salem and Nasser on the path to addiction. Nouria decides to stand up to her mother after she refuses her marriage to Bouhany. Dalia rebukes her sister Sahar for taking advantage of her uncle, Suliman.

Nouria is shocked when her mother fires her from the magazine. Hanan threatens to kick Nouria out of the house for her disobedience. Salem and Nasser discover that they are cousins. Suliman tells Nasser that he has opened a new company with Bou Jassem.

Nouria leaves her mother's house and moves to Suliman's house, where she reunites with Nadia. Hanan kicks Fahd out of the house because of his gambling and alcohol addiction. Yacoub takes money from Salem and Nasser. Hanan refuses to wed Abdel Aziz to the daughter of her friend, Sabika.

After Hanan orders Saleh to cut off ties with all of his siblings, she threatens to take revenge on Nadia and Nouria.

Saleh leaves his mother's house to stay at a hotel. Fahd pays Yacoub to get the video that he is using to threaten Nasser. As Yacoub is killed, the police launch an investigation.

Hanan is left feeling lonely and afraid after her children and grandchildren leave the house. Fahd moves in with his uncle Suliman. The police investigation continues.

Fahd decides to sue his mother. The police arrest Salem and Nasser and charge them with Yacoub's murder.

Fahd is arrested and interrogated. Saleh returns home. Hanan agrees to wed her daughter Nouria to Bouhany.

As the investigation into Yacoub's murder continues, Nadia goes back to her mother's house. Hanan forgives Nadia and writes the house over to her.

As Fahd and Nasser get released, Salem remains to be interrogated on the murder charge.

Fahd loses his memory after he gets in an accident. Salem remains incarcerated as he is transferred to the prosecution.

Nasser is questioned about the video that Yacoub used to bargain with Fahd. The lawyer assures Saleh that Salem's position in the case has gotten better.

When Suliman returns from his business trip, he tries to visit Fahd, but Hanan quarrels with him. Suliman vows revenge on Hanan.

With their companies competing with each other, Sultan quarrels with his nephew Saleh. Salem remains under investigation for Yacoub's murder.

The lawyer tells Hanan that Salem's case has gotten harder and that if the real killer is not found, he will be sentenced to death. Suliman is shocked when he is banned from entering his company, and he learns that Bou Jassem has put his hand on everything.

Everyone looks for Fahd after he leaves the house. Suliman asks Saleh to help him get his money back. Hanan is killed in her house.

As the police interrogate the whole family, the siblings turn on each other. They grow suspicious of Suliman, who also gets accused of beating and attempting to kill Bou Jassem.

The police identify Yacoub and Hanan's killer, who turns out to be Hanan's driver. It's revealed that he fought with Yacoub after the latter threatened Hanan with Nasser's videos, and that he killed Hanan because he was afraid that she will turn him in to prove Salem's innocence.

Suliman remains in prison. Sarah returns as the inheritance is divided between the siblings. It's revealed that Hanan left a letter for each of her children. Nouria weds Bouhany.
