As Hamid's mother gets sick and bedridden, he asks his sister to buy her sweets, while his brother only cares about himself and messing around. Yaqoot goes to visit her brother and tells him about the village's matters.

Al Zahia quarrels with her husband because he wants to take another wife after she is bedridden, and her daughter stands up to him to defend her mother because he also wants to seize her properties, but he and his children care about nothing but goofing off.

Al Taher quarrels with the young man who helped Zainab, Zahia's daughter, and then deludes him that he accepts his marriage to her. But on the wedding night, Al Taher makes his daughter the bride without the knowledge of the young man, who searches for a solution when he knows the truth.

Zainab leaves the house after her lover marries Taher's daughter, but she returns after learning how bad her mother's health has deteriorated. Taher wants to take possession of the house and sell it, then his daughter returns crying after her husband has left her.

Al Taher asks his daughter and Zainab to search for work, but his daughter did not find a job after a long search because she has neither experience nor a degree. Zainab finds a job, but when she returns home, Taher takes all the money she earned after suffering a long day.

Taher robs the factory where Zainab works without anyone noticing. Hamid's wife comes with her baby and presents him to Mustafa, who is happy with him.

Al Zahia dies. Taher asks Zainab not to work again and contemplates a trick to marry her, but she refuses when she learns from the Sheikh that he has come to wed her to Taher, and tells him that he is the husband of her deceased mother. Al Arabi returns from travel, gets into trouble and is imprisoned.

Al Arabi wins the case and is released from prison. Taher feels guilty after Zainab runs away and wanders in the streets. Hamid and his wife return to take his son from Al Batool who looked after him.
