Salem escapes from the municipality's men and Fathy tries to convince him to forge a license to sell in the market. Before his death, Khadija's father asks Mustafa to look after his daughter. Amna insists that Khadija reside with her. Abdul Malik represents himself as a Sheikh for the neighborhood.
Khadija lives in her aunt Amna’s house, and Aziz covets her inheritance from her father. Mustafa proposes to Amna that Khadija gets married, and she tells him that she will marry her to Salem, who tries to convince Hamza to give him goods to sell in the market.
Sheikh Abdul Malik asks Mustafa to pay him and the people sums of money to guard them. Salem admires Radyia, while Khadija wants to get close to him.
Radyia is kidnapped by unknown people. Mustafa continues to search for his daughter. Hamed is surprised by the disappearance of his daughter from the house. Amna prevents her daughters from going to school. Abdul Malik tells Mustafa that he warned him that Al-Daira (the neighborhood) isn't safe.
Amna informs her son Aziz of her desire to marry Salem to Khadija, but Salem doesn't approve. Mustafa is still looking for his daughter. Sheikh Abdul Malik begins to give lessons to the women of the neighborhood about sermon and commitment.
Mustafa asks Abdul Malik to help him get his daughter back, and Radyia does return to her father. Abdul Malik succeeds in convincing the people that he is the best man to protect them from the police.
The police investigate Radyia’s disappearance case and she tells her father that the kidnappers were praying. Fathy asks to marry Saja, but Aziz refuses. Amna decides to expedite Salem and Khadija's marriage.
Abdul Malik issues an order not to let women go out at night, and he admires Saja. Aziz agrees with his sister to falsely claim that there is an illegitimate relationship between him and Khadija, so that he marries her instead of his brother Salem.
Khadija leaves her aunt's house; she returns to her father's house, and informs Aziz that she doesn't want to marry him. Saja exposes Khadija among her friends and tells them of her attempt to woo her brother, Aziz.
Khadija tells Mustafa that she is innocent. Sheikh Malik decides that she would be at the disposal of the religious people and he demands her exile from the neighborhood. Amna refuses to return home.
After she receives a death threat, Khadija turns to Mustafa and her aunt Amna, but the two refuse to help her. Sheikh Malik decides to burn Khadija's house after her reputation is tarnished, but Aziz tells him that he wants to marry her and save her.
Aziz demands Mustafa to return Khadija's inheritance to him and informs Sheikh Malik about this to help him. Khadija gets pregnant. Saja despairs from her brother Aziz for not fulfilling his promise to help her marry Fathy.
Aziz opens a butchery shop. Saja tells her mother that she wants to be with Fathy. Salem likes Thuraya. Khadija gives birth to her first child, and she is upset about Aziz's seizure of her money, while his mother reprimands him.
Salem refuses to marry Radyia. Thuraya gets close to him, and when her brother discovers their relationship, he beats her, and her father locks her up in the house.
Fathy tries to advise Salem to stay away from Thuraya because of the social difference between them. Mustafa's friend is upset about paying Abdul Malik money to protect them. Thuraya's father threatens to keep her locked up if she continues her relationship with Salem.
Hamza tells Mustafa that Sheikh Malik's men are watching him, and the latter asks for Saja's hand in marriage. As her mother agrees, Saja refuses. Aziz robs his wife, Khadija.
Thuraya runs away from her father's house to meet Salem, and she insists to be with him, while Amna tries to convince her daughter to marry Abdul Malik, and she asks Mustafa to convince her.
Hamed complains to Sheikh Malik about Salem's relationship with his daughter Thuraya; the Sheikh's men kidnap Salem and flog him. The Sheikh offers to leave him in exchange for marrying Saja; Fathy tries to start a fight in rejection of the idea.
Sheikh Malik informs everyone that he will soon marry Saja, and he asks his henchmen to imprison Fathy and flog him. Mustafa agrees to pay the money to Abdul Malik.
Saja marries Abdul Malik; Thuraya goes on a hunger strike until her father frees her.
Majid refuses to torture Fathy, but Abu Hilala takes pleasure in his torture and asks Abdul Malik to continue doing so. Hamed thinks about forcing his daughter to marry someone.
Abdul Malik asks Aziz to advise his brother Salem to stay away from Thuraya. Thuraya deludes her father with her consent to marry another until he pulls her out of confinement, and she asks Salem to elope together. Fathy's mother dies. Abdul Malik agrees to attend her funeral.
Saja asks Salem to stand by Fathy after everyone accused him of abandoning his mother until she passed away. Khadija is surprised by Aziz's interest in her and her son. Salem tries to assault Hamed but Abdul Malik's men stop him.
Fathy blames Saja for not waiting for him and marrying Abdul Malik. On her wedding night, Thuraya surprises everyone by telling them that she is forced to marry, she throws herself from the balcony and is transferred to the hospital in a critical condition.
Aziz thinks about leaving the neighborhood with his wife and moving to another place. Hamza asks to marry Radyia, but Aziz tells him that she is of ill repute. Amna confines her son Salem to keep him away from Thuraya.
Aziz asks the people of the neighborhood not to deal with Mustafa and his daughter because he is hostile to Sheikh Abdul Malik. Radyia asks Saja to plea with Abdul Malik. Salem is taken to the hospital so that he can see Thuraya.
Mustafa loses his trade after everyone abandons him. The hospital nurse helps Salem see Thuraya. Abu Hilala tortures Fathy again for trying to attack Sheikh Malik.
Salem tries to persuade Thuraya to marry through Sheikh Hany, and the latter asks them to leave for his father's town. The nurse tells Salem that Fathy is accused of killing the crazy girl in the neighborhood and burying her, and he's sentenced to death.
Abu Hilala also tortures Mustafa. Imane reproaches her sister Thuraya for her bad reputation because of her relationship with Salem; Amna protects Thuraya in her home after her father forces her to marry her cousin. Amna stands up to the Sheikh and his men and gathers the women with her.
Aziz blames his mother for confronting Sheikh Malik; he asks Abdul Malik to release Mustafa. It is rumored in the neighborhood that men marry other than their wives after they support Amna. Radyia agrees with Majid to inform them of the Sheikh's news.
The women of the neighborhood demonstrate against Sheikh Malik, and they are dispersed with sticks and beatings. Majid is forced to hide from the Sheikh at Amna's. Aziz breaks Mustafa out. Abdul Malik is arrested. Mustafa marries Amna, and so is Masion and Hamed's daughter.
