After Farida Al-Tobgy picks her son up from a psychiatric facility, she grows upset with her husband when he makes fun of their son. Farida goes to her law office to discuss a divorce case with her colleague. She asks her client's opponent to meet her to discuss settlement.

Farida meets Ziad Al-Refa'y and asks her husband Monir for a divorce. Farida's father is upset with her after she and her daughter come home late. Monir futilely tries to convince his friend to trade in the stock market.

Farida reconsiders her wish for divorce after her youngest son falls ill. Ziad asks Farida's father to be his company's consultant. Ziad tries to convince Farida to get a divorce and get together with him.

Farida asks her son Ahmed to go back to school. Farida convinces her father to pass on Ziad's offer. Nesrine tells Farida that she needs to confront Ziad instead of running away from him.

Ahmed overhears his father talking about Farida's relationship with Ziad. Monir dies and Farida reflects on how she discovered that her husband is an addict and how she got involved with Ziad.

Farida discovers that Monir's secretary, Azza, tries to use the procuration she has to tamper with their bank accounts. Ziad promises to help her with Azza.

Farida confronts Hady about the dancer Soha and asks him to stay away from her daughter. Ziad confirms that Azza is still in the country. Farida tries to convince Ahmed that Ziad is only a friend after he sees them sitting together in Ziad's car.

Ahmed reflects on how he became an addict by stealing drugs from his father. As Ahmed leaves, Farida enlists Ziad's help to find him. Ziad discovers that Azza has seized all the money from the bank accounts.

Soha meets Farida's father. Ahmed starts using drugs again after he sees his friend Ola. Ziad brings Ahmed home and promises to stand by Farida's side.

Farida informs Soha that Azza took all of Monir's money. Farida tries to convince her daughter Salma to stay away from Hady. Farida is shocked to discover that Monir was working with a minister.

Soha is furious when she confirms that Azza took Monir's money. Ziad grows close to Farida's children. Farida sets Al-Khashab up by threatening to release the videos she has of his wife having an affair.

Azza tries to give her sister money but Sahar refuses to take stolen money. Hady tries to convince Salma to partner up with him to open a gallery. Salam asks Ziad to meet Hady.

Ziad's men locate Azza who informs Ziad that Monir was planning to kill him. Al-Khashab convinces Mazen to claim that Farida asked him to pay a bribe. Farida is sentenced to prison.

Farida is released as Al-Khashab evades Mazen to avoid paying him money. Farida kicks Soha out and the latter goes to Hady to demand her inheritance. Hady decides to expose Soha's involvement in Monir's death.

Hady tells Soha that he knows that she put poison in Monir's heroin. Ziad proposes to Farida. As Ziad and Farida go on their honeymoon, Hady seduces Salma.

Ahmed quarrels with Hady after he discovers his relationship with Salma. As they get arrested, Farida returns from her honeymoon to settle the issue. She is devastated when she discovers that Salma has slept with Hady. Soha tries to convince the lawyer Naguib to help her get her inheritance.

Hady agrees to marry Salma. On their wedding day, Hady abandons Salma who tries to commit suicide. Farida's young son Karim dies after eating too much candy, as Ahmed meets his friend to get high.

Salma and Farida are transferred to the hospital. Ahmed overdoses and his friend leaves him unconscious in Ziad's house.

Ziad tries to support Salma. Farida finds Ahmed. Farida's father suspects that Ziad has something to do with what is happening to his daughter and her children. Farida threatens Soha in an attempt to find Hady.

A doctor tells Farida that she was responsible for Ziad's ex-wife abortion. Farida discovers that Ziad's wife was one of her clients.

Farida discovers that everything that has been happening to her is Ziad's revenge. It's revealed that Farida had Ziad imprisoned for a year and got him to divorce his wife who went on to abort their baby.

Farida learns that she is pregnant. Ziad asks Hady to tell the family that he had to leave because his father was ill and promises to marry Salma. Farida informs her father that Ziad is involved with Nesrine.

Farida frames Nesrine in a prostitution case. When Farida discovers that the nurse Sarah has been putting drugs in Ahmed's coffee, Sarah informs Ziad who starts to suspect that Farida might be onto him.

Farida confronts Ziad who tries to explain his actions. Farida refuses to listen to Ziad and kicks him out.

When Farida finds her divorce certificate and a red rose in her bedroom, she takes it as a threat from Ziad. Farida uses Soha to give Hady a forged check to marry her daughter.

As Hady and Salma get married, Farida asks Hady to divorce Salma but Ziad threatens Hady to prevent him from acquiescing to Farida's demand.

Farida gets her hands on incriminating papers that prove that Ziad has been tampering with the stock exchange. She gets a recording of Soha admitting that she killed Monir.

Mazen tells Farida that Al-Khashab wants to kill her. Farida deceives Hady as she continues to plot to bring him down.

Ahmed breaks out of rehab. Ignorant of Ziad's role in his addiction, he seeks Ziad's help. Ziad bargains with Farida to get the evidence against him in exchange for her son. Farida kills Hady.

Farida frames Ziad for Hady's murder. Al-Khashab is arrested. Ziad is sentenced to death.
