Nevin surprises Adel with his birthday gift and congratulates him on his promotion at work. Adel receives a phone call from the prosecution and they tell him that there is a murder case that the chief prosecutor wants to investigate.

Adel interrogates the nurse, and suspicions point toward Desouki, since he is the only heir of the victim, Zainab. Desouki denies the charges Adel presses against him and tells him that he was not in Cairo during the accident.

Adel learns from Zeinat that the victim visited her once in the club where she works, and he discovers that Zainab asked Zeinat to visit her at her home.

During his interrogation with Nazira, Adel discovers that Zainab is Zeinat's mother and that Nazira raised her when she was young. In a flashback, Zainab asks Nazira about her daughter Zeinat, to which Nazira tells her that she raised her and that Zeinat became a dancer.

Adel goes crazy after he learns that Desouki, the only suspect in Zainab's murder, was found dead after he was shot with a hail of bullets. Adel doubts that Nazira was the one who killed Zainab.

Adel goes to Zeinat's house to ask her about the case, and Zeinat tells him that someone is chasing her and wants to harm her. Zeinat is exposed to a murder attempt by one of Shawkat's men.

Shawkat's man threatens Zeinat and asks her to stay away from Adel, and tells her that if he sees her again with him, he will kill her.

As Zeinat sees Shawkat by chance coming out of her lover's (Adel) apartment, she becomes crazy and tells him that he is the killer and asks him to arrest him, but he tells her that he is his father.

Suspicions swirl around Shawkat, and Adel decides to keep a close eye on his father. As Zeinat sees Shawkat's man, she runs away from him and calls Adel and tells him that she is in danger.

As Shawkat's men kidnap Zeinat, Adel confronts Shawkat with the truth and pressures him to confess his crime. Indeed, Shawkat confesses to killing Zainab, tells the details of his crime to his son, Adel, and commits suicide. Adel saves Zeinat.
