Qamar is afraid of a suspicious man who followed her to the building, whereupon she calls on her next-door neighbors for help.
The suspicious man turns out to be the building’s new security guard, Murad; meanwhile, the guys respond to the call of the girls next door for help regarding the suspicious man whose identity they don't know.
The guys try to help the girls next door find a way to confront the suspicious man they now think is a murderer.
Everyone discovers that the suspicious man is Murad, the new security guard. Metwally and Samir quarrel over Metwally's eating Samir's food without permission.
It turns out that Murad is the one who ate Samir's food before it was delivered to his home, and not Metwally as he thought.
Murad's authority over the building’s tenants increases, and he threatens to reveal their family secrets. The tenants of the two apartments plot a rebellion against Murad and his brutal authority.
As everyone decides to assign tasks to start taking action against Murad, the tenants of the two apartments decide to coordinate their actions with each other.
When the two teams meet, Murad finds out about the rebellion that they have been orchestrating and suppresses it, after which they decide to seek the help of a thug named Abul Layl.
As the two teams try to back out of their agreement with Abul Layl when they discover that he will kill Murad and won’t just discipline him, the situation gets out of hand.
Abul Layl decides to hold Metwally as his hostage after the two teams refuse to continue the operation against Murad, but he’s eventually set free.
Abul Layl insists on killing Metwally on account of the unfinished task of eliminating Murad, whereupon he makes a new deal with them after laborious effort.
The two teams try again to reach an understanding with Murad, who asks them to leave the building under the pretext of plumbing problems.
Everyone sits in complete darkness in the building after the electricity has been cut off, after which the girls try to appease Murad.
The two teams decide to give up their rights in order to get electricity back in the building, whereupon the guys meet a new roommate.
The girls meet a new girl named Sulafa to join them in the apartment, while the guys are troubled by Emad who has just moved in with them.
As Sulafa tries to befriend Murad, he runs away from her because of her incessant chatter, which also troubles her roommates.
The building’s tenants complain about Sulafa’s behavior and endless chatter, upon which they ask Murad to make Sulafa leave the building.
Emad’s roommates ask him to pay them compensation for all the damages that occurred in the apartment, while Murad plans to have Sulafa move out of the building.
As the two teams decide to meet with Murad in order to pay the money to treat Sulafa from chatter by resorting to a specialized doctor, Abul Layl impersonates the doctor.
The girls try to confront Sulafa with her chatter problem, but she replies that she's not chatty, after which everyone gathers to devise a plan to treat Sulafa.
Everyone agrees with Murad to buy a safe for the building in order to keep their money in it, and after they collect money for that, the safe gets robbed.
As the building’s tenants try to find out who the safe robber is, Metwally guards the safe, and because of that, everyone tries to sneak into the room to reach the safe.
As Murad asks Metwally to open the safe, he discovers that he forgot the combination to it, which turns everyone against him, whereupon everyone tries to find a way to open the safe.
Metwally tries to open the safe with a hammer, which annoys everyone, so they try to find an alternative solution, whereupon Emad suggests bringing in Abul Asabie to open the safe for them.
Abul Asabie comes to help the building’s tenants open the safe, which he finally manages to open, but it smells bad because of the food that Metwally put in it.
Metwally discovers that he inherited a book from his grandfather, after he thought he’d inherited gold; Sulafa asks that he gives her the book, from which she learns that he left him a treasure.
As Metwally goes to the girls' apartment in order to get the book back, they try to distract him until they find the missing element needed to make gold.
Everyone tries to remind Metwally of the word that will help them find the fourth element needed to make gold.
As everyone in the building devotes themselves to the making of gold, Murad asks for a percentage of any gold that will be produced, but it turns out that it is a fake formula.
Qamar asks her roommates to wear fancy clothes and pretend to be maids in front of her grandmother, Shwikar, who is still living in the past.
Everyone stands by Shwikar when she suffers a health crisis and falls into a coma, from which she wakes up after a short while.
Metwally decides to conjure his grandfather's spirit so that everyone can apologize to him for what they have done to him, after which they are forced to kiss the picture of his grandfather.
After waking up from the coma, Shwikar comes to visit her granddaughter, who agrees with the building’s tenants to pretend that she lives in a palace and that they are her servants.
Emad succeeds in winning Shwikar's affection after he brings her a flower bouquet, while Metwally cooks a sumptuous feast for her.
As Shwikar has bad dreams, she suspects a conspiracy being hatched against her; meanwhile, everyone tries to come up with a plan to confront her.
Abul Layl disguises himself as a person called ‘Mokharbet El Nofoos’ in order to make Shwikar forgo her delusions about the Khedivial era.
As Abul Layl thinks that Shwikar has recovered from her obsession with the Khedivial era, she reverts mentally to the Islamic age, whereupon everyone tries to deal with this problem.
