Nick and Kate have been living in a loveless marriage for years. The only thing keeping them together is their son Sam who is away at college. One day they are terrified to learn that there has been a deadly shooting at their son’s school. More shocking still is the news that their son was the gunmen who killed dozens of innocent people before taking his own life. As the couple struggles with their grief and tries to overcome the immense loss, they are bombarded by the media who will not leave them alone.
