The plot deals with freedom and oppression in our Arab world through the story of Mahdi, who gets released from prison after five years due to a political charge and tries to start his life anew. He knows imprisonment was a punishment for his socialist political activity at the university during the seventies. However, he tries to overcome the obstacles he finds from the authorities and society.
