Hayat is an inmate at a psychiatric and mental hospital. Nineteen years ago, Hayat discovered that her husband was cheating on her with her sister, just as she found out that her mother was cheating on her father. As her mother fell off the balcony during a fight, Hayat was accused of her murder.

Ezzat tries to break into Hayat's room to give her an Electroconvulsive therapy session, but Hayat fights with him and cuts off his ear. A nurse informs Dr. Hesham and he hastens to save Hayat but discovers that she has escaped the hospital.

It's revealed that Hesham helped Hayat escape and brought her to an apartment. When she is unable to reach him, she tries to leave the apartment but finds the door locked. Her friend from the hospital promises to get her brother to help her.

Hesham assures Hayat that the hospital will sign off on her release. Hayat asks to see her son Adham and tells Hesham that she wants to tell him the truth, but he asks her to wait so as not to shock Adham.

Hayat tries to see Adham at school. She meets with her sister and her aunt and warns them that she will tell Adham the truth and will not let them get away with what they did to her.

Hayat gets a new house right in front of her family's house. She sees Adham and waves to him, only to find him at her door afterward.

Adham visits Hayat and tells her that his name is Sherif but she tells him that she knows his real name. Hesham meets Adham and Hayat claims that Hesham is her brother.

Hayat invites Adham to a party where he sees his uncle's wife with her boyfriend. Hayat records Enas with her boyfriend and shows her the video.

Hayat advises Adham not to tell Youssef about Enas. Hayat asks her sister Nada to call her. Nada reconciles with her husband Yehia and agrees to give him money to prevent him from declaring bankruptcy.

Hayat threatens to expose Enas if she doesn't stop cheating on Youssef. Enas tells Nagwa that Hayat is living next door. Nagwa tells Yehia about Hayat.

Nada and Yehia are concerned that Hayat might have told Adham the truth. Yehia confirms that Adham doesn't know anything and tries to get ahead of Hayat by telling Adham that Hayat is their insane neighbor who thinks that Adham is her son, Yehia is her husband, and Nada is her sister.

Hayat confronts Youssef and demands her inheritance. She threatens to take revenge on him if he tries to readmit her to the hospital and advises him to look into his wife. Youssef assigns one of his men to watch Hayat.

Hayat notices that Ezzat is watching her. Dr. Salwa tells Ezzat to quit watching Hayat and assures Hesham's wife that he is not cheating on her.

Yehia tells his mother about how he managed to convince Hayat that he had nothing to do with what happened to her. Ekram tells her brother that she is helping Hayat because Hayat has a large inheritance that Ekram plans to take advantage of.

Adham offers to help Hayat find her son by searching his name on Facebook and Twitter. Ekram visits Hayat and tries to convince her that what she heard about her prostitution work is incorrect.

Hayat tells Ekram to stay away from her and Adham. Youssef reconciles with Hayat and offers to give her whatever she wants in exchange for cutting ties with the family, but she refuses to cut ties with Adham.

Youssef confirms that Enas is cheating on him. Ezzat sees Hesham's car in front of Hayat's house. Rania confronts Hayat who denies Hesham's presence. When Rania informs her that his car is parked outside her house, Hayat fears that Youssef has hurt Hesham.

Hayat tells Yehia that she is not married to Youssef. Yehia confesses that he still has feelings for Hayat. Hayat takes Ali to force Youssef to give Hesham back.

Hesham tries to argue his case to Hayat who tells him that she knows that he has been helping her for money and that she deceived him to facilitate her release from the hospital. She tells him that she knows about his relationship with Walaa.

Ekram meets Hend and Salwa at the disco, much to Salwa's fury. Hend tells Ekram that she was wrong to help Hayat.

Adham falls for Hayat. When Adham learns that Hayat has invited his friend to dinner, he confronts Hayat and tries to assault her. Hayat tells Adham that she is his mother.

Adham tells Hayat about how Nada has been mistreating him. As he moves in with Hayat, she expresses her concern that Nada will harm him. Hayat confesses that she is not married to Hesham and that she only claimed to be to prevent Youssef from sending her back to the hospital.

Youssef is devastated to discover that Ali is not his son. He tells Hayat that this is his divine punishment for the way he treated her. Hayat promises to stand by Youssef.

Nagwa invites Hayat and Adham to dinner. Hayat discovers that Yehia has divorced Nada. Yehia asks to marry Hayat but she refuses. Hayat agrees to move in with her family.

Youssef comes home and agrees to let Hayat move in. He tells her that he will give her the inheritance if she kills Enas. Hayat offers Hesham an extra million pounds to kill Enas but he refuses.

Salwa informs Youssef that Hayat isn't married to Hesham. Hayat overhears the two plotting against her and double-crosses Youssef by recording their conversation about Enas's murder. She threatens to turn Youssef in if he doesn't give her money back.

Hayat survives a murder attempt that Youssef planned. Youssef denies the accusation.

Youssef goes to Enas's villa to kill her but reconsiders when he notices the security personnel around the villa. Hayat threatens to turn Youssef in.

Enas's lover kills Youssef. Adham breaks down as the family reflects on their memories with Youssef. Enas escapes to Paris.

Nada reveals that Hayat is indeed a psychiatric patient who killed her mother, and that her mother didn't cheat. It's revealed that Yehia was never married to Hayat and that Adham is Nada's son, but Yehia and Nagwa deceived Hayat to get her money.
