After his marriage ends tragically, Gamal falls in love with a foreigner. As a church is bombed on New Year's eve, Gamal gets involved.
Gamal is tortured to get a confession after an unexploded bomb is found inside the church with his prints on it. However, one of the guards testifies that Gamal was helping the injured.
Gamal's father finds it unbelievable that his son is involved in such terrorist acts. Meanwhile, Gamal is trying to figure out who informed the police of his hideout.
In prison, someone attacks Gamal, but Gamal manages to defend himself and kills his assailant. A flashback reveals how Gamal met Laila. Ferial tries to inflame Gamal by fighting for Selim's custody.
Gamal denies having anything to do with the bombing and he justifies his presence at the church by claiming that he owns a travel agency, and he had to be there. When Ferial is called in for questioning, she tries to convince Al-Komi to interfere.
When Ali discovers that his wife is talking to Gamal on a daily basis, he demands that she tells him the nature of her relationship with Gamal. A flashback shows Gamal saving the ambassador from an attempted kidnapping. Helal dies of torture in prison.
As Gamal is questioned, Laila's show reveals a phone call that condemns him. Gamal asks Ashraf to seek a guy called Gebril who could help him. Ali blackmails NCO Khamis to get him to frame Gamal for the church bombing.
Laila's personal computer is hacked and her photos with Gamal are leaked. Ferial takes Selim to live with her but he has trouble adjusting. Ashraf discovers that Gamal is planning to break out of prison.
After Gamal escapes, he confides in Ashraf that he is a member of a secret intelligence organization. Gamal breaks into Ferial's villa to see his son Selim and tells him to take him back to his father's. Gamal is proven innocent of all crimes.
Gamal confronts Laila at her house but she throws him out. He goes to Bobo after the latter kidnaps Ashraf. Ali tries to find Gamal.
As Gamal escapes a police raid on his hiding place, it's revealed that Ali and Ferial framed Gamal for stealing Al-Komi's money.
Gamal pays Abu Alazm a visit and threatens him using the information he has about the secret intelligence agency. Some cops try to arrest Gamal at his father's funeral but he manages to escape. He decides to search for information about the agency he used to work for.
Gamal informs Abu Alazm that he will continue searching for the truth. When Ferial hides Selim, an angry Gamal threatens Al-Komi.
Gamal picks up his son from Ferial's mother's house. He manages to prove his innocence to Al-Komi after he reveals Bedair's plot to steal the money and frame Gamal.
Gamal spends time with Selim as Mona tries to win Gamal over. Al-Komi tortures Bedair for betraying him, but Ali kills Bedair so that he wouldn't reveal his involvement in the plot. Gamal gives Abu Alazm 24 hours to tell him the truth.
It's revealed that the journalist Reda was tortured by the police and that Laila was a witness to General Abu Alazm's murder of ambassador Salem. Gamal asks Al-Komi about his partnership with Noah.
Gamal confronts Ali. When Ali discovers a DNA test proving that his son isn't his, he accuses Gamal of betraying him. Gamal is charged with killing the ambassador.
Ali takes over for Abu Alazm. His desire for vengeance leads him to arrest Ruba and shoot Fathy.
Fathy confesses to Gamal that he helped steal Al-Komi's money. Ruba is charged with espionage. Gamal discovers that Ferial won Selim's custody. Gamal urges Albear to get the prosecution to reopen the investigation into the church bombing and informs him that Nabil is the one behind the terrorist act.
Laila defends Gamal against one of her show's guests. Mona informs Ashraf that he is her son's father. Gamal confesses his feelings for Laila. As Zain defends Ruba, Gamal informs him of the presence of a secret agency that is pulling the strings on everything that's happening.
Ali refuses to let Mona travel with her father and locks her in his family's countryside house. Fathy discovers that his sister has wed Ali in secret. The cops raid Fathy's house looking for Gamal, but he manages to escape.
Sanaa informs Fathi that Abu Zeid is the mole in their midst. Shawky calls in a bomb threat. Ali is arrested for possessing a suitcase with radioactive material. Gamal shoots Abu Zeid
The cops arrest Noah while he is with Farida, but Noah proves that the radioactive sample is for medicinal purposes. When Gamal manages to get a document proving that the labs are Noah's, he blackmails Noah for information about Masoud and Al-Mahdy.
Farida tells Noah that she means to take revenge on Al-Komi by selling his property. Laila and Gamal discover a connection between Reda and Nawar's murder.
Fathy confesses to the crimes he did on some officers' orders. Ramadan tells Zain that Tharwat killed Nawar. Gamal asks Tuline for information about Al-Mahdy and Taha Neweir.
Laila confronts Tharwat on killing Nawar. Gamal asks Neweir about Al-Mahdy. After Bobo is released from prison, he tells Nagat that he will kill Ali. Gamal learns that Al-Mahdy is burying radioactive material in Arab countries.
Shawky forces Ashraf to give him information about Gamal in exchange of not hurting Ruba. When Al-Mahdy catches Gamal trying to crack open his safe, Gamal shoots him. Zain tells Ashraf what happened to him and Laila. Gamal is shot and Tuline saves him and takes him back to Egypt.
When Gamal confronts Tuline over the shots she'd been giving him to kill him, Tuline informs him that Zalat is blackmailing her and threatening to kill her family. Tuline kills herself. Gamal enlists Zain's help to figure out where Reda's keys lead.
Noah confirms that Farida took the documents from his safe. Gamal learns that Ashraf is the father of Mona's son. Gamal breaks Ruba out and takes her to Bobo's place. Mona overhears Shawky and Ashraf talking and confronts Ashraf about his betrayal.
Ali shoots Mona and Ashraf. Farida asks Gamal to raise her son and not to let him hate her. Gamal kills Tharwat and buries him in the desert. Ali and Noah are arrested. Gamal marries Laila.
